GBPerfect location, centre of village, close to restaurants, amenities and places of interest - river, boats, Castle, Old Church.... Property was very clean, cosy and comfortable.
Unable to watch UEFA Championship matches (including the England game!) on TV. The engineer said it was a combination of the TV settings(there were no user Instructions on site) and regular problems with Aldeburgh Repeater/Transmitter. Needs to be sorted and if not possible, mentioned in property particulars. No "Welcome Pack" and no hand soap in the bathroom or toilet, the latter is unhygenic.
GBGBThe location was really good for all village amenities , the Castle and harbour. The cottage was very sell equipped and was to a high standard throughout.
Unfortunately there is no Vodafone signal in the village, and the text message with the keybox code did not come in. We had to find a location to phone the letting agency.
GBGreat location in the centre of the village with off street parking for two cars. The interior was beautifully designed and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils and a cafetière :-) the property was clean, warm and welcoming
Disappointed that there were any essentials in the cupboard like salt and pepper and cooking oil. But overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back.
GBHad a lovely stay at Crown Cottage. This was our second time in Orford and the location is perfect with parking. The property is beautifully presented and really well equipped. Would definitely recommend
AUGBExcellent location, a bit of 'colour over content' on delivery. Beds comfortable, cleaning pretty good and inventory just about adequate, but I don't think it would pass a Tourist Board inspection on number of items. TV system comprehensive and garage conversion games/utility room a good idea. Loads of hot water. Beds and sofas etc very comfortable, bathroom shower excellent and lovely duvets.
The light switches are dimmers, but not located in the relevant rooms! One dimmer controller button was detached from the switch and the Firepit needs a thorough clean out - it didn't draw at all and was pretty useless. The idea of a trunk for a table in front of the fire defeats the object, you get no useful heat on you! The sound system(?) didn't want to work, probably a dud remote battery. No egg cups, no instructions for any equipment (so I could attempt to get things to work) and the online version no better. Would be helpful to know which bin to put out each week - looked at neighbours in the end.. Loose tap set on the GF toilet basin. Heating is by heat pump - great idea - but the HIVE controller prone to fiddling, so not enough heat most of the time. Pump looks a bit small for this house, but loads of hot water.
