GBA small inn recently taken over by a father & son partnership. It has chalet accommodation at the rear of the property. Old style, English village inn. Well presented, comfortable room, large car park with external pub facilities.
GBWhat a fabulous overnight stay pre music festival. Lovely, clean, well equipped rooms in a courtyard at the back of the pub - nice and private. Fluffy towels, tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, plus toiletries. Great little pub. Super friendly. Lovely food. I had prawn baguette with salad chips and coleslaw off the lunch menu. Freshly cooked home made sausage rolls, steak pasties and cheese straws available at the bar if you just fancy a snack. The sausage rolls are a meal in themselves and taste amazing as do the cheese straws and an absolute bargain! Make sure you visit St Andrew’s Church, literally just over the road. So interesting and full of history. Absolutely recommend. Thank you!
This was a realy nice venue to stay at. The single room was fine for me and comfortable, the rooms are to the rear of the Inn in an annex. All the food was nice and well presented. The staff very very pleasnant and helpful. The village is very quiet so for that quiet getaway you would be wise to think of here
Lovely rooms outside of the main pub in an outbuilding which were great as quiet and. Few steps away from the pub. The room was small but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Really comfortable king size bed and lovely walk in shower. Tea/coffee making facilities with. Complimentary bottle of water and biscuits Wifi wasn’t working in the room when we were there but it did work in the pub so not. Big deal. The TV in the room was really small and coild do with better blackout curtains but breakfast was lovely with a choice of Full English or other dishes such as scrambled egg on toast etc. I would definitely stay again if in the area
GBThe room was a good size, nice touches with water, tea, coffee, biscuits in the room. The inn was lovely, very friendly accomodating people, excellent home cooked food, lovely eating area and soft seats for a drink after tea, breakfast was also fantastic
