Haven Boutique Hotel Quy Nhon

The beautiful location and view from the Haven is just outstanding. It has open air vibes - you walk through the gates and you relax. The beach is right there - the rugged rocks, crystal clear water. The restaurant was great - lots of different foods on offer and great value. The Bang Xeo is fresh, crunchy and highly recommended. The breakfast was made to order and the bread rolls were warm and crunchy - fresh juices. The room was simple, clean, air conditioned - the room was nice and big - the best was the vista from the balcony. They rely on water from the well so we were mindful with water usage in the shower. They provide a nice beach bag and towels for the beach. Most of the staff are from the local village and everyone of them was friendly and seemed pleased that we had chosen to visit.

Understandable why they do it - but you have to take your key when you leave your room it turns off the power to lights/air conditioner, so when you return to the room is very hot.

This hotel is located just at the southern "back beach" in the fishing village Bai Xep. It has a laid-back vibe. Be aware that the hotel is not directly accessible by car. One still has to walk about 150 m from the drop off point. The check-in was quick and easy. The hotel's team was helpful and friendly. Additionally, one could book certain tours (like a boat trip with a fisherman to the small islands offshore with snorkeling or visiting ancient Cham towers). The soft and hard corals are beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. We highly recommend to book the room with sea view as it is much better equipped and has a balcony. It is well worth it to pay the higher price in comparison to the tiny rooms with a garden view. A lot of things are very thoughtfully arranged. For example, in the rooms are beach bags with beach towels. Complementary drinking water is provided as you need it. One can borrow Vietnamese traditional style sun hats, umbrellas, yoga mattress and even a guitar. Downstairs are nice places to hang around with sofas and chairs, lots of books to share as well as boardgames to play. Breakfast was included in the stay. The banana pancakes as well as the muesli and fruit meal were great. Furthermore, the restaurant on site was open the whole day. Their menu has a wide variety of options (pizza, pasta, burgers, Vietnamese). The salads are very good and the home made pasta was delicious. We can also recommend the wood fired pizza. Additionally, the homemade ginger beer is great!

The snorkel gear from the hotel is quite poor.

Very nice spot by the ocean. The terrace is an awesome place to chill, have a Coffee etc. They give you beach towels and everyone has been so kind and accommodating even after Check out as we were waiting for the bus. Restaurant is excellent with loads of choice. You walk 300m from the main road to get there.

Fishing beach so not the cleaniest. They give you a free beer if you help clean though!
