Hotel Verbenicum

We stayed here for two days over a holiday weekend. The hotel staff were so lovely and the hotel quite quaint. It was located a 5 minute walk from the Center of Vrbnik town. It is a small Adriatic town on Krk that has great charm. The hotel made a reservation for us at Nada which has great seafood and good local wine called Zlatinha. It is a great white that is only grown in this area of Croatia. The hotel is also a great place to base yourself as you explore Krk. It is only a 15 minute drive from Krk Town which is too touristy in my opinion. We will definitely come back.

Nice and tidy hotel, very friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was great, kids liked the pool. Lots of nice beaches and restaurants quite close, to have a car is recommended. We will be back in the future!

Iva and her wonderful team made sure we were looked after from the moment we arrived until our departure. The interior design of Hotel Verbenicum is gorgeous with a classy yet homely feel. Scented sticks dotted throughout make it smell lovely and the library on the 2nd floor is a joy. We were thrilled with our suite which had lots of room, a large comfy bed with perfect pillows, soft white towels, lovely natural bath products and a great shower. It also had a spacious balcony facing Vrbnik and the bay. Everything top marks. The pool may look small but is ample for this hotel and it feels exclusive rather than over busy. Don’t miss the sunset over Vrbnik in the evenings. The restaurant is also very tastefully decorated and comfortable with a unique view of Vrbnik and the bay that enhances the enjoyment of every meal. The breakfast buffet has an extensive selection to please all tastes: smoothies, cereals, fruit, bread, various cheeses and cold meats, salads, home made cakes, croissants, fruit juice…. eggs and coffee are made fresh to order. The evening menu is currently limited but every dish we tried was delicious. Would appreciate some smaller starter options. As for the restaurant service, nothing is too much trouble for the most friendly and professional waiters we’ve ever had the privelege to meet. Twin brothers Senad and Safet made our stay at Verbenicum even more enjoyable with their attentiveness and humour. A big thank you to the team. Mooi en knus hotel. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Niets is te gek. Ontbijt is goed en ook het diner in het restaurant. Mooi zwembad met fijne bedjes en als extra een bar.

Ett mycket bra hotell med fint och rent rum👍. Personalen var supertrevliga 🙂. Frukosten var fin, god och vällagad. Dom tillagade äggen efter önskemål och det känns lyxigt baristakaffe. Vi har inget att klaga på👍.

Incredibly nice staff, especially the twin brothers were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The young receptionist was also very sweet and always smiling. The hotel has a perfect location. Overall, good food, good people, five out of five from me!

Wonderful stay with the family. Hotel is small boutique style family run. Large comfortable rooms and very friendly staff always looking to make us feel welcome and comfortable

Perfect Hotel with soul. Interior design is awesome. Owners and staff are extremly friendly. Pool is perfect fo chill out. Also got bar in pool area where you can order drinks and snack. Everything you need is max 300 meter around hotel. Can't wait to visit again.

Bemühtes Personal.

If you are wondering if the hotel is open and if it is worth a stay... the answers are YES YES AND ONE MORE TIME YES! We spent our honeymoon at the Hotel Verbenicum. Since the first second we had the pleasure of being taken care of by Iva and Tony and their great personnel. The hotel itself is the best smaller scale hotel from the point of view of design. The colors, the styles, the comfort all please the eye. Views on the town of vrbnik are breathtaking. We could enjoy the seaview from our room every morning and evening. The room also did not disappoint: the bed is 2+m long and we had the best sleep. Soundproof walls and shades on the windows also help with the best sleep :) The bathroom is very stylish with all the amenities provided. The pool is great for chilling and the sea is just around the corner. Beware though because there is a steep climb before you reach the sea! The food is also excellent. Their cook makes amazing dinner dishes. Breakfasts are full of tasty local produce and offer a variety of eggs made to order. All in all what we appreciated most is that Iva and staff listened to our requests. Of course the hotel just opened so some things were missing but they solved this very fast and we did not miss anything essential in the end. Thanks again for your lovely hospitality!!!
