Kasteel Ter Wallen - Boutique Hotel

Very comfortable room and beds, albeit perhaps a bit on the small side for a longer stay. We only stayed 1 night, which was fine. Breakfast was excellent, and the very friendly staff made sure nothing was missing. A choice of eggs could be ordered on the spot, so everything as perfectly fresh and warm!

• prachtig domein • heerlijk ontbijt met verse eitjes naar keuze en pannenkoekjes • vriendelijke gastvrouw • mooie kamer met airco & een zalig bed • het zwembad is echt waanzinnig, wij verbleven er bij 30 graden en hebben zo hard genoten van de rust en verkoeling van het water • groot pluspunt: je kan zelf gebruik maken van een honesty bar met ruim aanbod aan dranken (je mag zelf noteren welke drankjes je gebruikt hebt) • heerlijke adresjes in de buurt om te gaan eten: aanrader "de oude sint pieter" beste spaghetti ooit daar + gezellig tuinterras en op wandelafstand (5 min) van het hotel

• voor ons waren de kussens iets te dik en hard, maar dat is persoonlijk natuurlijk

The building, the pool, the garden

There was a TV shooting when we arrived( at 2pm) .they told us to stay in the pool area till 3pm, when they planned to let us to our room. Indeed the shooting turned late, and we could get our keys at 4pm only. In addition the shooting team several times insisted that we should not leave a corner of the pool area.. .At 5, everything was OK, but the weather had turned to clouds and rain, so enjoying the pool area became irrelevant. There is no restaurant in the hoté, and the town around it has nothing great. Our best food on our arrival day has been a sandwitch forgotten by the team of the shooting.... But the following morning a plasant person took care of our breakfast, and we could spend a few minutes at the pool before leaving. It is not quite close to Brussel airport, that has a lot of road work aroung. You have to leave the hotel 3 tl 4 hours before you fly.

Prachtige locatie, ruime comfortabele kamer met airco en vriendelijke ontvangst en gastvrijheid!

Très bel établissement dans un écrin de verdure. Nous avons apprécié le calme de l’endroit. La propriétaire est aux petits soins et très accueillante. Le petit déjeuner est varié et excellent. Les extérieurs sont très agréables entre le parc, la piscine et le jacuzzi.

Le seul petit bémol était le jet de la douche qui était très peu puissant (cela illustre bien le fait qu’il faut vraiment aller dans le détail pour signaler un « problème »)

Een uitgebreid ontbijt met verse ambachtelijke produkten , goede douche -en shampoo produkten. Heel proper! Mooie locatie. Het was een aangenaam verblijf. We werden gastvrij onthaald door de gastvrouw!

Lovely environment , building and grounds are exceptional , beautiful and quiet. Rooms are quite large and very clean. Bed is one of the most comfortable we have slept in. Staff are really friendly and you are meet and serve breakfast by the owners . Breakfast is very very good . Izegem is a great location if you want to visit Bruges, Ghent, Ypres or even Lille and the Normandy beaches.

A small thing would be to have cereal and milk available for breakfast, in addition to the excellent spread that is available. Drinks in the honesty bar seemed to be on the expensive side which deterred us from using the bar .
