The Lake House on Canandaigua

We had a fabulous stay!! We enjoyed everything from the time we walked through the door… everyone was so friendly and accommodating…the front end desk girls made us feel so welcomed and John made sure we always got where we needed to go… Mikey P at the Rose bar made us delicious drinks and we had great conversation!!

Everything was amazing- from the minute we stepped through the door we were treated special. Great place - will definitely be back.

I stayed here for three nights to celebrate my birthday with friends, and it was honestly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had—mainly because of the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, Alantra at the front desk set the tone for our stay. She was so friendly, welcoming, and truly made us feel taken care of. I genuinely looked forward to seeing her each day—her energy is infectious! She even took photos for us, which I loved, and I really appreciate that the hotel offers complimentary photos. Elizabeth also took photos the next day and was just as kind and welcoming. John at the front door was amazing as well—he helped us with our bags, made sure we were comfortable, and always greeted us with friendly conversation whenever we saw him. We spent a lot of time enjoying the amenities—the pool, hot tub, s’mores, complimentary morning yoga classes, and the fitness center were all highlights. The Sandbar was a great spot to eat with a beautiful lake view, and while the library wasn’t open much during our stay, it was such a cozy space and perfect for photos. Also, the robes and slippers provided were the comfiest I’ve ever tried—such a small detail that made a big difference! For my birthday dinner, we ate at the Rose Tavern, and they went above and beyond. They stored my birthday cake in their fridge all day, then cut and served it for us after dinner, which was such a thoughtful touch. Pat provided excellent service as our waiter, and Tiffany, the manager, made sure my birthday felt extra special by checking in on us throughout the evening. Every single staff member we interacted with made a lasting impression. This place truly stands out because of the level of care and service. I will absolutely be back!

We love the Lake House, we make an effort to go every year. The Rose Tavern is elegant and delicious. Anders was especially accommodating and went out of his way to personalize our experience.

We had lunch at the Sand Bar for our mom’s 60th birthday and it was lovely! We had great service and a sour beer reco from Anders who even sang her happy birthday, quite incredibly I must add.

We have been coming to the Lake House since it opened right after Covid and absolutely love it. The clean rooms, furniture, views, and friendly staff make it outstanding.

I attended the Spring Equinox with a friend. We both enjoyed the experience. It was relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating. We didn’t know what to expect but we both loved it. The venue was beautiful and added to the whole experience! Hoping for more experiences like this one. Totally recommend!
