I have read a lot of reviews on this property and I always try to steer clear of the bad reviews to let myself in on the experience so I can find out When you speak on “updating” and such, you must keep in mind the Nostalgia of this sport and what this mountain has down to maintain the East Coast Lodge vibe. My family of four , kids 10 and 16; had the BEST 4 days of Spring skiing and swimming outside in the heated pool. We had a studio only booked but decided to bring kids- they allowed an upgrade yes at my cost with no problem- From the 1 bedroom suite with a balcony and a whirlpool tub looking over the mountain, the D Lift, and pool, we couldn’t complain on the extra spent to give us space with our kids. From the Sauna, the ski check, the stream room, the workout room, to the hot tubs and pool, we loved every second and honestly didn’t wanna leave for our last leg of the trip…. Dinner at Van Winkles was so so good. Despite any negative reviews, I am leaving my extremely positive experience here for y’all to see. Book the trip! and Visit Woodstock. And the Candlestock store. Apres!

Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The accessibility to the mountain and lifts was great. However, the hotel is dated, the fitness center is in disrepair, and the spa closed in 2020 and never reopened. There are no options for breakfast or lunch in the hotel, which is an inconvenience, esp when the ski lodge is insanely over crowded and ridiculously expensive ($5.50-$7.00 for a WATER, $6.50 for a coffee). I mean, come on. Additionally, the game room was non-functional when we were there, as there were no game cards and many of the machines weren’t even working. This place has a tremendous amount of potential, but just isn’t living up to it. I doubt we’ll go back.
