Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Waller

We had a very early morning arrival due to a flight delay. We were put into the wrong room, which was fine, but later that morning as we had the “do not disturb” sign on the door, the guy at the front desk (who worked a later shift) tried to enter our room without knocking as there was confusion with the staff that the room was occupied. He called the room a few minutes later and I asked him if it’s policy to just open a room with the DND sign on the door. He said he knocked - not true - and apologized rudely and frankly just didn’t care. This hotel is not worth staying at.. do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Upon checking in I paid for my room through the BOOKING APP. When I got to the hotel the front desk clerk was unable to see that I’d paid for my room. She asked me had I paid through Marriott which I told her no I used Booking. She said I needed to call customer service for Booking. I did. A guy answered pretended to help to no avail and hung up on me. I called back and got a woman. She went back and forth with the front desk clerk and the back and forth with the hotel manager. Finally Booking was able to fix THEIR mistake two hours later. My children and I sat in the hotel lobby this entire time! We ran the risk of being four hours away from home without anywhere to stay! I will never use Booking again! Both ladies that worked the FRONT DESK the clerk as well as the manager went above and beyond to ensure me and my children were safe and had a room!

The overall stay was nice. My only complaint is in regards to the condition of the shower. It had numerous mystery stains in various shades of brown. I hope that at some point the shower is either replaced or refinished.

Customer service was absolutely amazing. Room was nice. However we did encounter bugs. (Cockroach) I went down to the front desk and reported it. Asked for cleaning spray which they did provide but that was it. I hate bugs and panic. My husband killed it and cleaned.

For the most part, the property is clean and the stff seemedfriendly. Somehow we ended up in an accessible room, but that was no biggie. I did not like the condition of the towels. They definitely need to invest in new towels. Also, there was no body wash in the shower. There were 2 shampoos and a conditioner. But I always bring my on in case. And lastly, we needed the couch-bed, but there was no pillows or blanket in the room for the couch.

Rooms and hallways have an odor and items in the room were not filled.

From the staff to the room, everything was beyond perfect !

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was also very good
