The building itself appears nice, parking was good. Managers nice guys very welcoming.

The the doona had no cover or protective layer that should be washable and it didn't fit the bed it was covering its not normal practice with all my experience travelling I've never seen anything like it. its also a worry the room never had spare pillows or extra blankets, and it was wintertime. You cannot just rely off on the air conditioning working. Especially when sometimes you have power outages. Having to rely off-air conditioning to keep you warm and one Doner one sheet no spare blankets as the doona didn't even fit the length of the bed. It was unacceptable. The bathroom had nowhere to put the soap to hang the soap up. I had to sit it on the ground. No extra towel for my second night only one small hand towel no knives or forks or plates, only one cup to have a coffee and two glasses. And i shouldn't have to ask for anything its clearly not normal within the motel or hotel industry. The owners should invest in quality bedding and have sufficient stock to cover to ensure a quality service.

Good location, bed was huge, shower was decent.

Open bottle of milk with expiration date on the day we arrived. Even if they put an extra small long life milk in the fridge door people will be happy with it. Must add there was small single serves milk in the fridge. Found a hair on the bathroom floor. Bathroom door couldn’t be closed at all. For the price you pay you would have thought that you get a decent table to sit at and eat with the appropriate chairs. Have a huge bed, but for people who don’t like to sleep on a hard bed. It would’ve been very uncomfortable for them. For us it was quite hard.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Secure location. Would stay again.

The owners were very friendly, approachable, and helpful. I felt safe and secure with the gate locked at night. Excellent hot shower. I would stay again if returning to Bourke.

Plates and cutlery would have been helpful. Bed linens not adequate - extra blanket would have been great.

I knew I was going to arrive late and notified reception who did everything possible to assist me.
