Friendly staff, clean hotel

Highlighting a few things we didn't expect/ missed on the booking.com description: - The air con was very warm, would only go to 23 degrees. We asked how we could make this colder and we were told that the individual air conditioning units is set throughout the building and can't be lowered for individual rooms as it pre-set by management which we found hard to understand as we could increase the temperature, but not reduce it below 23 degrees. For us, this was too warm in the heat. -1 key card, €5 per day if you want a second. The reason given for this was the cards are super expensive and GPS tracked which we found odd considering we were 2 guests - €100 deposit on arrival, this was the only hotel we were asked for this on a 2 week trip around Italy. On check out we were told we get this back within 24 hours, which was not the case. When we did ask for an update a few days later, we received it immediately - Taxis in Sorrento are expensive, Gloria kindly gave us her friends number so we would get a better price. That price being €20 for a 5 minute taxi. We would highly recommend confirming the price before you get in any taxi (even a friend) as they can get very expensive, very quickly

The hotel was clean, modern and stylish

Perfect position away from noise but close enough to the Centre to walk everywhere. Property is immaculately cared for and rooms are maintained daily and a lovely design. Gloria is a the most perfect host & helped us all through our stay. Antonia is wonderful and friendly. Both are more than gracious to assist with anything you need. We loved the spot, loved the facilities and most of all loved the staff.

Quiet location, wonderful, helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful building and nice comfortable, modern and fresh room.

There is nothing negative that I can mention.

There's about a 12-15 minute walk into Sorrento, which means you away from the noise and busyness of the city. Beds are super comfortable. Breakfast is OK, a bit samey after a few days tho. Coffee is excellent.

There's no way to change the air conditioning setting in your room, its set centrally. Our room was OK ish but we would probably want 1 or 2 degrees cooler. Be aware this hotel is not staffed 24x7. There are limited times when the staff are on site so if you need anything outside these times you need to plan ahead. The ladies who run the hotel are very friendly.

Villa Cettina was a great base for us during our stay in Sorrento. It was a bit of a walk into town, but we knew this ahead of time and it was nice and flat. We had a great balcony that was lovely to relax on and we loved having breakfast out among the lemon trees. The air conditioning was very comfortable (and much-needed!) and the lovely woman on the front desk was so friendly and helpful!

There were rules around not bringing any outside food or drink into the hotel, which was a bit frustrating when nothing could be purchased on the property either. We would have loved to have brought in a snack and cold drink!
