Courtyard by Marriott Jekyll Island

View was best part. After that not much. Not the friendliest workers or staff. Biggest problem was temperature in room. Wouldn't below 78 degrees no matter what we tried. Sweat most of the night. Rest of room was okay. Sure better places are in area for price they charged.

The location absolutely stunning, the complementary bikes. The open windows when you were enjoying a drink or appetizer for the kids. The lobby was spacious with tvs, games, large chairs and tables. They thought of everything! Starbucks coffee saved my life a few times . I think you had to pay for coffee up front. I don’t think it was complementary but the Starbucks was affordable . The coffee steamed for my son’s hot chocolate packet could be gettin at the bucks. The ladies and all our servers were delightful. The complementary shuttle was so handy. The lawn games by pool was such a nice touch. Let’s just say I was not ready to leave.

I was sad the pool was not heated. But this would never stop me from coming again. The jacuzzi was lovely and hot. Make sure you’re on the right side . We did not get a complementary breakfast even though we’re Marriott members. It’s literally the same place. But tortuga jacks had the best pancakes and breakfast we ever had. So crisis averted, no biggie.

Loved the way the rooms were set up and getting to over look the pool area.

The shower hadn’t been cleaned from prior guest.

Bed was hard and pillows too soft- should have one firm and one soft pillow for each person in the bed.

Location is right on the beach and close to golf.

Breakfast set up is different. Hotel is half Residence Inn, so there breakfast is included. Marriot does not have that option but is same hotel.

Facilities

Booking quoted $100.35 for one night but bill was quite a bit more for multiples taxes. Bill minus pet fee was $131.43. There were 2 room state sales taxes, a room occupancy tax, 2 misc. state sales taxes, and $15 charge to park in their lot! There pet fee was outrageous $75 for our one pet for one night. Total charge was $206.43 for only one night.
