"A memorable end to our longer visit to west Kenya"

9.0

The location was perfect for a getaway tropical holiday. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated the guided boat and land tours for birdwatching and walks in the near neighbourhood to the local fishing village.

We were unprepared for the invasion of Lake flies which marred our second full day and made any further tours impossible as the air was thick with the thousands of tiny flies which arrived early in the morning forcing us to stay indoors. But as these invasions are a natural phenomenom and unpredictable, there was nothing the staff, who are used to these occurrences could do. Fortunately the flies did not bite!
