AC Hotel by Marriott Tallahassee Universities at the Capitol

Very nice

My wife and I spent a night here really just to get away from the kids for an evening. It was my wife’s birthday and we had reservations at Charlie Park on the roof. I think the hotel is relatively new. The young lady at the check-in desk was very nice, informative, and welcoming. The room itself was comfy and clean. If the Marriott people read this, in room #401, there is a spot over the window that looks like a possible water leak. And some Sheetrock tape is peeling off the ceiling in the shower. The only constructive criticism I have for the property is turn down the music in the lobby and/or at the valet check-in. On the 4th floor, we could hear the music all night long. Like it literally played all night and into the next day and it was a little disruptive when trying to go to sleep. Other than that it was a pleasant stay and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Staff, service and location were excellent. Great breakfast as well.

There was dog food under the vanity in the bathroom upon arrival. No one said it was a pet friendly room and both my sons have allergies. I think they should have designated rooms for guests with allergies. Dark gloomy hallways, unhelpful staff at the front desk. Felt very damp in the room and the hotel itself overall felt cold and unfriendly. Usually stay at Hyatt house in railroad district, but due to ongoing construction and the blocking of local roads, figured we would give another hotel a try. NEVER AGAIN. My husband, both sons (9 and 22) and I were all not impressed and will not be back.
