Hotel Indigo - Omaha Downtown by IHG

The food at the bar was decent and most staff were nice at least. The shuttle driver was a sweetheart.

The room had no working heater so I was given 2 space heaters that would have been a fire hazard to leave on all night, and it was -7 outside. The bathtub was a death trap. It hadn't been washed apparently and I couldn't get out very easily, being I am disabled. I injured myself trying to get out. They switched my room after that, but the night desk girl was rude as could be the whole time. There was no hand soap or lotion in the bathroom. I got hives from whatever was making t he tub so slippery. The sheets were so scratchy as well. The room they switched me to have expo a ed sheetrock or something next to the toilet and the telephone didn't work either. They woke me up becsuse they didn't put my pre-approved late checkout on my account, but I had a email approving my request. They gave me enough points to stay one night again, but never going here, again. I never made it to breakfast because I was up almost all night dealing with everything that went wrong. I was very disappointed to say the least. I will be calling corporate due to my injuries in that bathtub.

This is a fantastic hotel within walking distance of many areas of interest. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. We did not request daily housekeeping, but upon arrival our room was spotless. We had dinner in the hotel once and were quickly greeted by the bartender. The food was mediocre for the price. I recommend dining at one of the local restaurants as there are many with better offerings. We don't drink so we didn't take advantage of the speakeasy located near the lobby, mostly because we weren't sure if mocktails were served. Looks like a cool spot though! If you are traveling with a car, note that the parking lot is very small and is not gated. I don't mind paying a parking fee, but I feel like security should be tighter if guests are charged. Our stay was exceptional until checkout. Several hours after returning home, I received an email from Amex stating my card was charged $216. Upon further investigation, I saw my bill was updated to include room damages. This was concerning as my husband and I are very tidy, and because I worked as a housekeeper in high school, I tend to leave hotel rooms in excellent condition upon checkout. I called the hotel to inquire and the front desk receptionist told me that we were charged because "the room stinks because you smoked inside". I was quite upset because my husband and I don't smoke. After some discussion, she offered to call the housekeeping manager. About an hour later, I received a message stating they made a mistake and should have charged another room. It seems that someone should have called me to discuss the "damage" before charging my card. It would have saved time and annoyance. Ultimately my card received a refund, but the situation left me unsettled.

Easy access, big bathroom with lots of towels, lovely friendly staff, large room with 2 chairs.

The heater didn’t work, the lighting was too dim, the pillows were way too big, no extra blanket, phone didn’t work and the coffee maker was too small…

From our pickup at the airport in the brand new Lincoln Navigator featuring massage seats? To the guided tour by our awesome driver Lamar. We had a quick and easy check in, fabulous room, comfy bed and then Lamar recommended USA dinner spot and drive us there sharing more bits about beautiful Omaha. I utilized the fitness room nice selection of weights, two treadmills, elliptical and even a bosu ball all clean and in great condition. I would recommend staying at Hotel Indigo for your next trip to Omaha.
