Clérigos Tower - Experience in Porto

I have nothing bad to say about it. The hosts were very nice, the apartment is very beautiful and the location is perfect, close to many sightseeings. Downstairs you have many bars and restaurants which is really good.

We chose the apartment because of its central location — everything was within walking distance. We only used public transport when we went to Piscina das Marés. There was some street noise in the evenings, but it didn’t bother us at all, as we closed the shutters at night because of the mosquitoes. Everything was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. My boyfriend is over 190 cm, so the bed felt a bit small for him, but the mattress, pillows, and duvet were all excellent. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for us; we usually just made eggs for breakfast, so no big cooking. The space was perfectly adequate for two people. We also really appreciated the self check-in and checkout — we arrived at night, so it was ideal and very simple.

A few small things we noticed, we missed having bedside tables, although we understand that space is limited. Also, a mosquito net on at least one window would be helpful so the window could be open at night — but these were minor points and didn’t affect our overall stay.

Great location, comfortable and clean apartment with a nice little terrace.

Waited for more than 2 hours after arriving to the apartment to receive the entrance instructions. No response through Booking.com at all and unhelpful chat through BnBird website. Situation resolved just after calling BnBird customer support number.

the location was excellent,in walking distance to all the Oporto highlights. The host was available for any questions and gave very clear instructions on how to get to the apartment and pick up the keys. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need iron ,hairdryer, coffee machine ect and they kindly left water for us. There were enough blankets sheets and towels for us.

the extra bed was not very comfortable.It was the only minus point in a perfect city apartment

Convenient. Great location. Near dining and morning coffee/bakeries.

Weekend middle of the night celebration was a bit loud.

Veldig fin, liten leilighet. For meg var det perfekt beliggenhet. Utenfor det aller verste turistområdet men med masse restauranter og barer i nærheten. Gangavstand til alt. Ren og flott leilighet. Et tips til vertskapet: et lite nattbord hadde vært fint.

The people upstairs were very noisy when they arrived home between 12:00 am and- 1:30 am three of the 4 nights we stayed. While the windows block the noise of the streets, you can hear everything upstairs, including the occupants throwing up each night. Absolutely disgusting.

Location was prime, no doubt about that. It was a little louder on the weekend as it is close to some bars. But nothing that earplugs couldn't fix (I'm a light sleeper). Also, the bed was quite comfortable. I also liked that a crib for our son was provided.

Unfortunately, the shower didn't drain really well and the microwave didn't work. There was no toilet paper hanger and no hand soap was provided (just a general shower gel in the shower). Lastly, the fan in the shower didn't work either and it seemed like that carpet wasn't vacuumed in a while. I tried to reach out to our point of contact about the microwave but he didn't get back to us.

The apartment looks exactly like the photos, which is clean, gets a lot of nice daylight, cheerful. Nice location- just a short walk to popular spots like Clérigos Tower, Livraria Lello, Galerias bars, São Bento station, Santa Catarina and surrounding streets with many great little shops and cafes, catching the sunset at Virtudes... Good little bars right underneath the apartment for grabbing a drink or a bite! Communication with the management for check-in and out was wonderful.

There is some construction outside the property in the park there, so a bit of an eyesore but this is common in Porto for now, so just focus on the beauty you can still find all over. It’s part of city life. Noise from it was not an issue. However, there was some noise one night into the late hours from people having fun at the nearby bars… the windows did shut out a lot of the party noise but not 100%. Light sleepers may want to pack ear plugs just in case. The strip of bars under the apartment is a busy place where friendly people gathered at night but for the most part, once inside, the apartment was peaceful and great! Note that you may need to buy toilet paper; it mentions in the listing that some is provided but not replenished if you run out. Bed has two pillows- two more would be nice. An extra hook or towel rack in the bathroom would be nice for wet towels to dry. It was a great, comfortable apartment overall!
