Sunny Apartment in the Heart of Príncipe Real

The apartment was very spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. We had everything we needed, and the neighbourhood was wonderful- lots of great shops and restaurants.

The beds were not very comfortable. The one on the smaller windowless room in particular was very hard and springy.

We loved the apartment which was in a quiet street but also very central. There are restaurants, shops, pasteiras, a couple of small mini markets all within a few minutes walk. It had all we needed and was comfortable for a family of 4 with 2 young children. In addition, Tumas asked if we would like to have prepared Portuguese meals waiting for us at the apartment, and it was great to arrive in the evening and find these delicious dishes :)

It’s well located and big enough for our family.

There isn’t enough toilet paper and if there is paper towel in the kitchen that will be great.

There was no self-check-in option, but the host personally met us at the apartment, which turned out to be a great experience. He warmly welcomed us and provided the keys, taking the time to thoroughly explain everything we needed to know about the apartment and our stay. His attention to detail and friendly approach made us feel comfortable and well-prepared. This personal touch was a pleasant surprise and added to the overall positive experience.

Overall, everything was great, and we had a positive experience. If I had to mention something, the lack of a self-check-in option might be inconvenient for some, but the host’s personal welcome and assistance more than made up for it.

The property was beautiful, clean and had great facilities. The location is ideal and the price was good. Staff welcomed us on arrival and spoke to us a few times throughout our trip.

There is a psychotic woman who lives downstairs who ruined our entire trip. From the second we arrived she set out to be unreasonable. We had the TV on on the first night and she used a broom to hit the ceiling to tell us to keep the noise down. This also happened anytime we moved in the apartment or anytime we spoke. I even counted that I moved two steps to the dresser and she banged the ceiling. She then banged on the door at 2am to shout at us (when we had all been asleep) that we must turn the fans off or she will call the police. We politely explained that there is no air con, and so we have to keep the fans on and she went mad. The second night we had the radio on and it was only early in the evening, when she sent one of her guests upstairs to shout at us; when we didn’t answer the door she turned the door handle and tried to enter our apartment. This was totally unacceptable and frightening. I had to stay in because I was unwell, and my friends had to lock me in the apartment for my safety - which I was glad of because she was still trying the door handles to get in when I was alone in the flat. Such a shame because the apartment is so pretty and in a great location, but the woman downstairs is so rude and unreasonable that it ruined my birthday trip. Staff spoke to me but it seemed like they were speaking to me due to her constant noise complaints rather than to reassure us. I would not recommend that anyone stay here under these conditions.
