The woman working at breakfast was nice. Lots of coffee options

I like the location however although it’s new it’s not had very good maintenance. We had ants our 1st visit; gave them another opportunity. Second room didn’t have as much wear and tear in December. The holiday decorations were nice but no access to good snack food or drinks(like Drury). They have breakfast but only ate grits as it didn’t look fresh. Outdoor had trash in grass; liquor bottles. Lots of transient workers staying there.

Breakfast was good and fresh; staff was friendly; I felt safe traveling alone as a woman.

I didnt like small children shouting in the hallway at 8 a.m. Maybe ask parents to supervise children outside the rooms?

Everything, the room was perfect and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Could hear the TV in the room next to us ALL night.

Spacious room. But the highlight was the very friendly and welcoming hostesses at breakfast, Miss Mattie.

Breakfast was a bit lame.

Best staff ever and they are so kind with everyone.. definitely will be back

The Home2 Suites by Hilton gave us a nicely-appointed room and it was exceptionally clean and it also smelled good. The room lighting was little dim especially in reading positions. The complimentary bathroom items were not in good quantity. (Bath gel and shampoo containers may be almost empty). The bathroom exhaust fan, based on the loud noise, is nearing end of life The bathroom was also cold and there is no apparent heat source. To be fair, It was very cold outside...temp in high 20's that night. The room carpeting looks nice and was clean. The card-operated door locks worked dependably... a first! The breakfast bar was staffed and well organized with every imaginably choice of hot and cold food. The "Spin Cycle" gym was not available until sometime after 6am and that was a surprise. Fitness centers are usually available for early risers who must get on the road early or who have 7am appointments elsewhere. Finally, the worst thing about this Hilton experience is a "hidden charge," No where in the reservation process was there a mention of a nightly "Incidental Charge." Without specifying a nightly add-on of $25, the hidden charge is tantamount to being a serious legal matter. It's especially egregious if the hidden charge isn't brought up until the person with a reservation arrives at the desk to check in. In my case, this surprise charge may have been mentioned in an almost inaudible voice by "Jim" the desk clerk December 4th. Even if I'd heard that announcement, it probably would have been too late to decline and go elsewhere. During checkout, as though reading from a script, the clerk said the nightly charge was to "...cover hotel expenses after a wild party." She went on to say that I could expect a refund in two to three days, apparently after our room was inspected. The absence of the "Incidental Charge" in their advertising makes Hilton Home2 Suites in Belmont NC more competitive with other hotels, a disadvantage to the guest shopping for a place to stay. The reservation, made through AAA Member Rate and emailed to us stated “Total price for Stay $194.74,” including taxes. “Hilton Home2Suites by Hilton Confirmed” charged my credit union $219.74.
