Golspie Inn

Location

Room very small for £200 per night, probably the smallest in the hotel and we booked months ago. Not totally clean. Window would not stay open so very hot. Breakfast was in a dark room and food was barely adequate. Supper was terrible.

Great place to stay! Welcoming and friendly. Top class breakfast and dinner.

We had a car issue and all could not have been more helpful !! BIG THANKS ! Meal in evening was excellant !! Will return

Room 10 was a really good size, with a comfy bed and a well fitted bathroom. The restaurant food was good, except the eggs at breakfast which were oddly tasteless.

The restaurant waiting staff at dinner may have been having an off day, but they seemed to want to be anywhere but serving the public. The manager (presumed) had to step in more than once.

All’s well

hiking the John O'Groats trail. Hotel is not right downtown so I shopped downtown then hiked out to the hotel (10 min). Great atmosphere I arrived and there were many people in the restaurant/bar having a great time. Staff friendly but a little disorganized, I ordered a beer and had to re-ask for it. Good nice clean room.

I had a burger that could have been better and a shrimp cocktail with the smallest shrimp ever, thousand island dressing

Room was clean but very basic for the price. Breakfast cost £15 per person for very little choice to choose from. Staff very dismissive in restaurant when having evening meal. Food very basic and cold on the middle. Very disappointing!

Very run down room. Room right over bar so had noise from there until about 11pm. Comfortable bed. Nice customer service.
