Residence Inn by Marriott Slough

All the staff were excellent, from check in, housekeeping and restaurant. Very well designed self catering room. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen facilities. Highly recommend for fast access to Heathrow Airport.

A guest set off the fire alarm at 3.30am while making toast in their room! Evacuation well managed by hotel staff.

The room was great! Hotel very cool

The parking, real issue for me, arriving after 8.30pm so was dark etc. Reception did sebd someone to get me but the morning was hard work to get someone to take me to my car.

Good amount of space

Always seem to be given a disabled access room with booking. Car park is quite a walk away and hard to locate. Check in was in the moxy - chaotic and noisey

The rooms were amazing and also the facilities.

I appreciated the small kitchen. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was pleasantly soft! I also liked the efficient air conditioning, which brought fresh air into the room. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

Soundproofing could be better. I could hear people talking in the room next door. Traffic can be heard clearly from Wellington Street, especially the constant emergency vehicles. In the mornings, housekeeping caused noise in the surrounding rooms. Slough is not a particularly pleasant environment, which is why I didn't go out alone after dark.

There was a good drinks selection available in the reception whilst we were told our pre payed room was not available.

Arrived at 1am after a long journey only to be told there was no room available because the hotel had overbooked. What made it worse was that they clearly had hours to inform me beforehand and process a refund, yet they allowed me to arrive in the middle of the night with nowhere to stay. The only option offered was to take it up with Booking.com or drive 20 minutes to another hotel. Very poor customer service and unacceptable handling of the situation.
