The view

Loved the location right in the heart of Airlie Beach. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of cutlery, crockery, a microwave, kettle and toaster. The shower had good pressure and towels, including beach towels were provided. It was also very clean.

There wasn't a hotplate or kitchen sink. We had to use the bathroom sink to fill a bowl to wash things which was a problem if someone was in the toilet. The TV was a little high but had good reception. It was a bit noisy when revellers left venues between 2-4 am.

The location was great. There was air conditioning. The admin staff were responsive and polite.

The state of the accommodation did not match the photos. It was dark and the couch was filthy with oil stains all over and food stains which could/should have been wiped off. The owner will deny that it is dirty though. No-one in our group felt comfortable to use the lounge room as a result. There was no WiFi. And while there is a microwave and fridge, there is no kitchen sink so you would need to wash your cutlery and plates in a tub using water from the wobbly tap in the bathroom. You should only book this place if you're just after the basics i.e. shower, toilet, bed and towels.

The lounge didn’t fold out for extra bedding. The air conditioner didn’t work in the lounge room. The shower was dirty and mouldy. There was no glasses to drink from, not even coffee cups even though there was a kettle. There was cleaning tub with cleaning products in a bucket on top of the microwave. Overall cleanliness and presentation was not at a good standard and pricey for what we got in return. Very disappointing.
