ibis Timisoara City Center

There are train tracks behind the hotel. Someone did construction work at 3 am. Did not get a good nights sleep. Shutting the window did not block the noise. Great hotel and close to down town but make sure you are not on the train track side of the hotel.

This place is brand new and they have yet to work out all the kinks. Some are easy (management) fixes. Others are built in (engineering) and will be difficult to change: Management: Too few breakfast staff. Bad internet and intermittent TV. Loud in the outdoor restaurant right under our window until well after 11:00 pm. Inadequate parking. Too few breakfast tables. Clean and well engineered to optimize space. Good elevators. Adequate breakfast. Comfortable beds. Modern electrical outlets and distribution throughout the room.

Glorious location and beautiful hotel

Glorious location. Not at all the typical ibis but a beautiful Property with a restaurant - well Constructed Lay-out of meeting rooms, tastefully decorated , no string cleaning chemicals - lovely staff

Excellent location . Not your standard Ibis- large rooms , wonderful design, minutes from the Old Town row of Restaurants and coffee shops . Excellent meeting rooms. Full Breakfast bar. Great lobby cafe with outside seating for meetings. Super efficient staff . I am Disabled with a Dutch Assistance Dog - the staff helped me all the time. I needed to meet with a government authorities for Ukraine Refugee issues and the manager took The time to make these arrangements

Das Hotel liegt zentral und hat viele , kostenlose Parkplätze. Die Dame an der Reception war sehr freundlich. Leider gab es das Frühstück erst mit 15min Verspätung. Temeswar ist eine schöne Stadt .

Stayed here for 3 nights on two separate occasions and I liked it both times (late Oct to early mid Nov). I compared this hotel with others close to the city center but ultimately Ibis stood out with its design, rooms and location. Beds are comfortable and so are the pillows. There's a round table and 1-2 chairs to work from if needed. TV has some good channels but HBO did struggle to maintain a good signal during both my stays in different rooms. Walk-in shower had a rainforest-type showerhead and plenty of water pressure. There is also in-room AC but I slept with window open which unlike other hotels you can actually crack open here for some fresh air. Oh and each room includes two pairs of disposable slippers which again is a nice touch. Front desk staff (such as Flavia) was great and provided a positive experience during my stay. So did the restaurant/cafe staff where I had some food and drinks. A special thank you and shout-out to Julia for going above and beyond to help me with a local food recommendation (@Julia mersi pentru cautarea gogoșilor umpluti). Finally, I was pleased to see the staff follow Covid restriction guidelines such as asking for vaccination pass before checking in and also dining at their restaurant or actually closing the cafe at 9pm per recent mandates. They were also good about wearing masks on their property. I will definitely stay here when I'm coming back to Timisoara and recommend it to others as well.

Good value for the money. Staff very friendly and aiming to provide best customer service they are capable of. We will return.
