Lone Star Inn - Dickinson

I just like that it was quiet,nothing sketchy was going on,there are several walkable places to eat at as well as grocery(that's if you're not too lazy to walk to those but it's good to have it for people like me without a car).. I originally plan to stay two days but I stayed one more.. I like to get away sometimes from the family and do my own little small vacay away from them and I would suggest this place if you're in town

I walked into the lobby at 4:30 and all the lights were off. Someone finally came out from the back room and turned the lights on Without saying a word. Then she checked us in. Not a very welcoming feeling. Once we got in the room I checked email and saw they had sent an email at about 2:15 while I was driving. It said to please contact them to give them an estimated arrival time. They will hold all reservations without any contact until 4:00 p.m. I guess that explains the lights being off in the empty lobby? Once I sat on the bed, I noticed a spot on the sheets. I don't want to venture a guess as to the cause of the stain/spot, but I'm quite certain the sheets were not changed / washed since the last guest. Then I noticed the bedspread is only slightly thicker than the sheet. It's February. I like to cover up. I was cold. Didn't sleep. This place could be really nice but these things I cannot overlook. I will not be staying here again

Affordable & safe

Dirty Fingerprints all over the walls Holes in the walls Dirty linens Phone was just for show, not even plugged in and no cords so you couldn’t call the front desk and it was a palace inn phone?

We stayed 1 night here before leaving to board a cruise and it was a nice stay. The room was clean, and the office area was as well. The location is convenient and there are multiple places to eat or shop for essentials if needed!

Check in was easy; Sonic within walking distance. Could have been a little quieter, but it wasn't unbearable.

The bed looked like someone died on it... clumps of hair. Shower leaks and water was all over the floor

No wifi paid to stay at hotel with wifi so i can get my work done .

Stay has been subpar the last few times we used to love it here until we realized we were being watched and treated like criminals i dont know if it was at the hotels behest or they're looking for someone else but it made me really nervous especially because I have a hyundai i dont know if they were trying to steal my car or kidnap me and to have have two hispanic men everytime i left and came back coming out out their rooms staring me down as if they were going to follow me into my room definitely put a bad taste in my mouth people of color beware you will be watched! To top it off the wifi went out while i was working which I doubt was a coincidence. Wont spend my hard earned money here ever again!
