Kempinski Hotel Jinan

I want to be very clear and precise in my review: the hotel is very nice and prestigious, the rooms are stunning and big, the breakfast is good, if so, on my first day at the hotel after the room was delivered, I put my things and left the hotel, a guy came in to clean, opened my suitcase, rummaged through my things and stole from me $900 from the suitcase since there is no one in the hotel who knows English and when I asked where the suitcase was they didn't know what I wanted so I left the money in the suitcase. I didn't imagine that in a prestigious and respectable hotel, things would be stolen from the guests. I called the police and dealt with them from there. The hotel staff did not help me and sided with the cleaning guy even though they saw on the cameras that he entered the room for no reason 5 minutes after I left the hotel. If you can't feel safe in the hotel room on your vacation what does it matter how beautiful and luxurious the hotel is?

On the 55-69th floors of the tallest building of Jinan. Good location and easy to find a taxi. The facilities were new and smart. The staff was nice. The restaurant had various food and drinks with good city view.

I stay at this hotel often and the front desk staff often encourages me to write good letters, so on my last trip I got a verbal promise to upgrade to a suite next time, When I came back here today, the Fang hosted me and when I asked if I could keep my promise to upgrade to a suite, she turned me down and told me it was full tonight. Except for the very expensive diplomat suite. I checked today's booking through the hotel's official website and found that all types of rooms are available，I posed this question to Fang, if I book a suite now through official channels, will I be able to stay. Fang told me that the official website is inaccurate, even if your reservation is successful we can only upgrade you to a diplomat suite for free because that's all we have left. I think it's a good deal, I plan to book a junior suite to experience better. But at this point Fang rejected me and gave me two conditions, one was to pay an additional $500 to upgrade to the Diplomat Suite, and the other was that she had just found a basic suite available. Not satisfied with being cheated, I saw a sxxtly lie and I exposed her. Then told her to go ahead and check me in and explain. She had a very bad attitude, refused to check me in and told me there was a problem with my booking, then left her post and went backstage until her colleagues came out to end the farce. During the special period,I have visited Jinan by business needs ,to stay at such great hotel; not far from mess downtown, landmark building in new district; safe and health measurement are all in place; staff are very friendly, room did have the best view in city, I have to say great experience at the end!
