Tru By Hilton Cartersville, GA

Great location right off interstate but in quieter area (walkable). All staff I encountered very friendly including check in. Entryway trashcan could have used some clean up and some trash in other places but I did check in late Sunday afternoon so may have been due to less weekend staff. My room had a refrigerator but no microwave or coffee/tea set up. This wasn't a deal breaker for me and not sure is that way for all rooms or just my booked floor plan. Honestly, not something I noted when I booked but if you need a microwave be sure to check. For the most part, room furnishings and bathroom seemed updated and clean by comparison to many hotels. I liked the more modern look/graphics throughout. Good breakfast with several hot offerings.

Overall stay was pretty decent. The only problem was, the stations for your tv was not working properly. Only had three channels to watch and some times those channels weren’t working properly.

I booked rhis hotel as a pay when you arive at the hotel option, I had a different card than what is on file to pay with. They tried to run the card on file 2 hours before check in. They called at 2pm, saying they needed another card. I couldn't answer as we were still on the plane! When we showed up at 5pm they informed us tgat they gave our room away! On a busy weekend of baseball. It was nearly impossible to find a room. They had a room for 1 night for us, so we stayed. The bed was hard. The TV didnt work, there was onectowel for 4 prople in the room. A shopping bag was left in the bathroom from previous guests. The water in the toilet was brown, turns out there was broken watermain and it effected the toilet water. The bathroom was run down and dirty. The big soap bottles on the wall in the shower were empty and when i looked in one (it wasnt secured) it was moldy inside So after all that we spoke with some others that weekend rhat stayed at that hotel and they did the exact same thing to them. Clearly they overbooked. Shady ower operators of this TRU!

Staff was very professional and kind

Not the cleanest hotel. The floors in our room were very sticky. The lobby was full of people being loud after 11. Every trash can outside, near the pool, near the elevators and in the lobby were overflowing with trash falling out on the floor. I went outside to load my car this morning and either my room key wouldn’t open the door near the pool or it was broken. I had to walk all the way around. Beds were worn out and pillows very flat. Not impressed by this location.

Property was clean convenient to 75. Was also easy to check in staff was completely attentive.

It was noisy. A group of kids were downstairs on the pool table while their parents sat off to the side while they yelled, & threw things across the room. This was very off putting considering we’d just walked in the building to check in. The young lady at the desk asked numerous times for them to quiet down. I eventually get my key and head up to my room. As I’m walking the room and checking things out to make sure everything is to my liking, I pull the duvet back and there is blood on the comforter. They eventually switched my room.
