Moxy Slough

Great breakfast.

The tables were not quite clean when we ate breakfast.

Very clean room, fresh bedding and towels very friendly and helpful staff.

Friendly staff, very clean throughout, sound-proofed room and lovely toiletries. Onsite gym was also a great addition.

Surrounding area (immediately outside the hotel) felt unsafe, especially for a lone female. Also not the easiest for taxi pick up/drop off as on a main road.

Great location and clean room. Very nice on a hot weekend as well.

Good location

Beware! This is a hotel without a pick up and drop off in the middle of tangled web of one way systems in Slough. Worst still this is a hotel with a multiple personality disorder - is it called A) The Moxy B) The Marriott Bonvoy C) The Residence Inn? You’ll need your answer ready as the receptionist will ask you. On arrival I was bemused, then confused. I was asked for my ID by a thoroughly miserable receptionist with all the people skills of Charles Manson. I pointed out that I don’t carry ID as I live here and that it isn’t a legal requirement and offered my credit card (for a prepaid room in any event). Nope. We argued for 5 minutes (me from my wheelchair well beneath the height of the desk) until she relented. I was then given a multipage document to complete without a clipboard or anything to rest on, with questions that were impossible to answer like “will you hear the alarm in your room?”. Answer, “How would I know, I haven’t been to the room and haven’t heard the alarm.” I’d have had a warmer reception at a CIA rendition site. Moments later another lady kicked off in reception about the service. It’s a shame because I have stayed at other Moxy’s (shout out to Milton Keynes) which have been great. On the upside there was a strange looking sex toy in the bar, and if you want to see Police, Camera, Action in real time, park up at the bar on Saturday night. You won’t be disappointed.
