The Garuda Homestay Sanur

We booked this for one night and even though checkout time was 12, the staff allowed us to leave our bags there until our 3pm pickup. Although it is a little bit further away from the beach, it's still a reasonable walk. Friendly and clean!

Having a water refill station would be nice - they provided water in the rooms but they were small bottles. I have a reusable water bottle and it would be nice to have a place to fill so I don't need to use lots of plastic!

Home and surrounding area was beautiful. Locals were super friendly. Host was very accommodating to our late check in. Everything exceeded our expectations.

- Chickens in the distance There were chickens in the area, but their noises were not loud in my room. - Far from everything You need a scooter. I was in my room all day. - Difficulty checking out Unfortunately, when I checked out at 7:30 a.m. and needed a taxi to the port, no one from the staff or the accommodation could be found to call me one. In the end it was a friendly young man from the house next door who organized a taxi for me. - Helpful, but unfortunately completely useless. I inquired at the accommodation about ferry tickets to Gili Air. A young man offered to check for me at the harbor. After 30 minutes he informed me that all tickets for the following day were fully booked. However, when I researched online myself, I found many tickets available for the next day - so his information was incorrect. In conclusion, it is often more effective to seek answers independently on the internet rather than asking others. He also promised to order a taxi for the next morning. However, no one was present in the morning.

All good apart from windowless room and bathroom smelt of drains

Big room, very comfortable bed, the homestay is located in a super quiet area. The staff is very helpful and so nice
