Dark Sky Suites

The location directly in Westcliffe was ideal for us to begin our days and return to after hiking. Our room was clean, simple, quiet, and comfortable, and the kitchenette allowed us to prepare meals and snacks easily. Additionally, the location easily allowed us to view the stars at night. The hotel is what it advertises itself to be.

During the night, one of the appliances made a few banging noises (it sounded like a radiator, though I don’t think the room was heated that way). The noises didn’t prevent me from sleeping but might indicate an appliance needs repair.

I booked a pet friendly suite but my dog wouldn’t go up the metal stairs. The graciously let us stay in a ground floor room. This was so accommodating as since is a very small town, no other rooms available.

Check-in easy, directions were easy to understand.

Suggest bedside table/lamp on both sides of bed

Right next to downtown and short walking distance.

The television stations didn't work three quarters of the time. Message kept reading on it to call the front desk. These is not a front desk, phone number or any employee or ownership to talk to. Colorado Law says all cost cannot be hidden. I booked the room at $307.98 for two (2) nights - Acceptable I got the bill after I clicked book it and I'm getting charged $380.05 - Very Unacceptable If you like talking to a human being, don't book here.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed good. Loved the shower. View was excellent.

I didnt like how they didn't have staff on site. It was expensive for that room. To expensive won't stay again unless they lower prices. EXPENSIVE!!!!

Excellent location, with lovely views. I went for some stargazing at the little observatory, 10 minutes walk away, but clouds got in the way. Nevertheless, although everything is done remotely and I saw no staff, this was a clean, spacious and modern place to stay. A little pricey maybe, but worth it for the location and the facilities. The town of Westcliffe is interesting too, with several options for breakfast
