Aloha Beachside

Position was great

Mould and water stain s on ceiling in the main lounge/ kitchen. Worth getting fixed for such a lovely position

There was no breakfast but we knew that. Good air con. Great view Close to water. Easy to find. Everything that we expected to be there was in the unit

Very hard to park the car in narrow car space but no other option. Didn’t enjoy walking up the stairs to 3rd floor with our luggage but there was no other option. My hubby had a knee problem at the time.

Picking the keys up was simple. A few days before my arrival I received instructions in regards to where and how to get the keys. The options were arriving during trade hour and picking up the keys at the front desk (located not far from the property where I was about to check in) or collecting the keys at the lock box outside the office after trading hours. The property is just a few meters from the beach. From the balcony, you can enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean. Aloha Beachside is managed by Foster Accommodations, and they were quite spot-on assisting me during the whole time. The wifi/internet didn't work during my stay at Aloha Beachside. The Foster Accommodation team provided me with a temporary solution that did the job.

There are a few downsides in my view. I am a 45 yo travelling from Brisbane with my partner. And we like to go on road trips as lightly as possible. Aloha Beachside doesn't provide bath towels, hand towels, or linen such as bedsheets. That wasn't clear at the time of the booking once Foster Accommodations manages several properties and some have the towels and linen, others don't. A few days before check-in, I received confirmation that I should bring my own. And that is okay, but for the price, I would expect towels and linen. Bedrooms don't have aircon. Nothing major, but just the fans could be not enough. The only air con is in the living room. The wifi/internet didn't work at all during my stay. It was included in my booking and if folks from Foster Accommodation haven't brought me a dongle I would be offline. It is okay, but if you want to stream some movies during a rainy day internet could be slow. Finally, I could constantly hear the family from the unit above Aloha Beachside dragging furniture. I don't mind, but if that is an issue for you, stay at the beach as much as you can and you will be just fine.

The stairs and lack of signage. We did not find the laundry.

It was super close to the beach and the main street. And the view off the balcony was beautiful.

Some other guests that were in the building where a but noisey but it didn't stop us from sleeping.
