Cồn Phụng Retreats Mekong - Nature Island with Free Boat Shuttle & Fishing

This place includes a free return boat shuttle served which goes from My Tho Marina. The staff were really lovely. Fabulous home made meals. This is a small family run retreat in a pretty isolated spot…so do not come here expecting cafes, bars, live music etc. if you’re wanting to relax, unwind, take in nature, get away from the mania of the world for a while, then this place is perfect!! The rooms were clean and comfortable (although the mattress was hard) The ‘bedroom’ is access by a narrow spiral staircase, which is fun for those middle of the night toilet trips! :D

Maybe the mattress was a little hard…but that is usually expected as hotels in Vietnam

We really enjoyed our stay at Con Phung Retreat so very much !! Its a real oasis. The communication with the staff was impeccable. They were reactive, available and responded within minutes. Therefore, the boat pick-up went smoothlessly, we didn’t even have to wait for a minute. Same goes for the return to My Tho marina, the boat arrived exactly at the time agreed on. The reception was very warm with a little welcome coconut, which was lovely. The spot of the retreat is tucked away on the little island and offers an intimate setting perfect to enjoy the Mekong Delta at a low-paced rhythm. The staff was always available and took care of us so well without being overbearing. The food was absolutely outstanding. I recommend to lunch or dine in the resort and the breakfast Pho is delicious. We were also able to rent a motorbike, which allowed us to discovered Ben Tre which is just half an hour away. I can only recommend and thank you for the short but lovely stay !!

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. The bungalows looked exactly as they look in the pictures, besides the regular wear and tear of the amenities. It is very simple but that is also the charm of the place. My only suggestion would maybe be to provide clients with some information on the activities recommended and places to see and visit on the island and in the close area around it and to provide information that it is possible to dine and / or lunch at the retreat. We almost did not realise that the retreat offered dinner options.

Ein echtes Juwel am Mekong! Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Es handelt sich um einen authentischen Familienbetrieb, bei dem man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzliche und hilfsbereite Menschen, die uns bei jeder Frage unterstützt haben. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns der riesige Obst- und Gemüsegarten – ein kleines Paradies! Auch kulinarisch war es ein Highlight: Das Essen war frisch, authentisch und hat uns wahnsinnig gut geschmeckt. Wer echte Gastfreundschaft am Mekong sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wyjątkowe położenie na małej wysepce na Mekongu. Cisza i spokój. Do miasta dowozi bezpłatna łódź. Sympatyczni właściciele pomagają w zorganizowaniu wycieczki po okolicy.

We felt so welcomed by the staff here. Such a relaxed, family vibe, and in a really beautiful location on the island. The food is also excellent, and so nourishing! Staff helped a lot to organise boat transfers, drivers etc.

The bed/loft is accessed via a narrow spiral staircase with no railing. It is manageable but a bit nerve wracking when you need the bathroom in the middle of the night!

C'est un lieux idéal pour se ressourcer et profiter de la plénitude de l'île. Porte d'entrée du Mekong My Tho permet de découvrir la vie sur le mekong. Le couple qui tient les bungalows bien que parlant très peu l'anglais font leur maximum pour vous satisfaire. Le "fried giant fish" est un régal et péché devant vous le jour même

Everything. The stay couldn’t have gone any better. We swam in the pool, had amazing food there, the staff is great. The bungalows are very nicely designed.
