The downstairs bathroom and upstairs sleeping areas were beautiful and comfortable. The washer/dryer is excellent. The renovation is a very high quality with stunning architectural details.

The location is pretty far off the beaten path on a very noisy street, boring street. The living space is not practical and the kitchen poorly stocked. Having been toward the end of our trip, we were surprised not to find a lot of the amenities we had become accustomed, such as pajamas and face cleaning sets. we requested 3 futons setup upstairs, instead, we had two upstairs and 2 downstairs in the living space. we moved the two downstairs upstairs, but certainly wasn’t aesthetically pleasing when we entered the home. In general, the living space just wasn’t practical for comfort. the floor pads were worn with visible dirt, so we found ourselves sitting on the tatami mat lined against wall. No one utilized the bath as it was attached to the living space. We also asked for some restaurant recommendations and did not receive any help. Overall, it was a beautiful home, but disappointing compared to the many other spectacular stays we had throughout Japan.

Lovely looking villa.

Couldnt sleep, the noise was so loud from the traffic outside and the aircon in the bedroom blew constantly on your face. There was no remote to change the direction. It was lovely but I wouldnt pay that much for a place i cant even relax in.
