Waverley Inn Holiday Apartments

We've stayed here a few times and love the location, the apartments are a great size, clean and reasonably priced.

The standard has dropped woefully from when these were first opened. It's definitely time to spruce them up again. The main hallway carpet looks like it's been dug up by a dog - really really bad. The rooms all have things that have broke over time and just left, like repaired sections on the roof not repainted, items taken off wall and the marks left where they should have been. In a couple of the rooms we've been in the shower leaks etc. This time we had a broken glass in the cupboard and we had to physically defrost the freezer from being completely encased in a single full size block of ice. None of the blinds now work as intended when first fitted. The list goes on, but it was such a high standard to start with, that it's still acceptable to stay there, I just wish rhey would do the ongoing maintenance!! Another problem (which was fixed immediately by the staff, but on another say would not have been possible), they have shoe horned a bunk bed along with the double into the bedroom in apartment 9 making it pretty uncomfortable, so the staff happily moved us to the one directly above (#12).

Great size, good having a separate living room/kitchen. Shower was good.

Overall nice and clean, but could do with a bit more attention to detail, side of beds, behind side tables.

The staff were lovely, central location easy for getting by.

The property was poorly maintained, dirty floors, dirty linen, toilet/bathroom was poorly maintained. Little sound proofing so it was quite noisy.
