Itaewon Yellow Guesthouse

Guesthouse pas très loin du métro de la ligne 6 de Séoul, pratique. Très mal insonorisé mais fait l’affaire pour 2/3 nuits. Pas de réception, tout se fait par message. Chambre assez grande.

The property was conveniently located from the KMetro subway lines. However , it is some distance of walk from the subway station along a narrow, uneven side walk… somewhat challenging if you have more than one suitcase. The rooms are VERY basic and not updated… no TV and no fridge in the room. No onsite laundry available but laundry service for additional fees which was not clearly stated in website description. There is free WiFi, a shared full size fridge in kitchen facility on the 1st floor. It also had good tasting filtered cold and hot water in the kitchen which was nice. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re ok with a hostel type of amenities.

The pictures of the room and property did not match reality. We had holes in our room, cockroach and limited amenities were included. Bathroom had sewer smell after each use. No free on-site laundry machines. Only positives are: low price, good WiFi and location.

Overall, our stay was okay. The pin-code system was easy to use and quite handy. Our main complaint is the shower, hot water wasn’t coming consistently so it was annoying to use. The room’s overall cleanliness wasn’t the best either, but good enough.

部屋はきれいで寝るのには不自由せず満足でした。しかし、ユニットバスのシャワーから温水が出てくるまで5分くらいかかるので注意が必要です。また、水道から水漏れするのでそこも気をつけましょう。

立地が良く便利です。値段も安いです。 しかし、設備が駄目です。寒い。床暖房の部屋も有りましたが床暖房無い部屋は寒いです。震えます。 めっちゃ急な階段で3階、エアコン付けても風しか出なくて冬はマイナスになる韓国では寝れません。 あまりにも寒いのでスタッフに連絡して部屋が変更に何回もなりました。 ベッドも身体が痛くなります。 値段と立地を考えたらとても安いです。

ホテルとはまた違うゲストハウスならではの良さがあり、とてもよい旅行になりました！

コンビニが付近に少なかった。 夜間の買出しは心配なので事前に買い込みを。

This is a cheap guesthouse that you access by code. We never saw reception. The AC did not work at all during our stay so the maximum I can give is three stars, however we didn’t give them a chance to switch our room (already wanted to sleep and it was late) so I won’t give a worse review. The value is good but we were roughing it. The bed is very hard. Would likely pay a bit more the next time to ensure good AC and a better bed. You might want to bring your own amenities as it is basically hand soap for shower gel. No hair conditioner but there was a hair drier. No safe.
