Robin Hood Tower

Wow! I have never stayed anywhere like this before. The most amazing location in a forest near a canal - historic buildings all around. Having one room on each floor was really cool. So well appointed and clean, friendly and helpful hosts. The walks in the forest were great, beautiful area.

With one room per floor there are a lot of stairs but I expected that. The driveway down is not for the faint hearted or big cars, but it added to the amazing atmosphere.

The tower is unique, provided everything we needed for a relaxed weekend, and set in beautiful surroundings.

The Tower is lovely. The owners have put a lot of thought and care into every detail. The rooms are compact but comfortable and have everything you would need for a short break away. It was helpful to have been left bread, milk and biscuits. The Nespresso machine was a nice surprise. It was lovely sitting out on the enclosed patio on arrival. There's good internet and a smart tv with a dvd player. The log burner was a treat, with plenty of logs available. There's easy access to beautiful woodlands and the canal. I'd recommend the 3 mile walk to Cromford Mills and 2 mile walk to High Peak Junction.

The drive off the main road is a bit narrow and steep, but manageable.

Fabulous place to stay, steeped in its own history. Perfect for an overnight stay or a little longer with a lovely dog walk on your doorstep. Comfy and cosy with everything you could need.

Absolutely lovely location, situated in the forest with easy access to the Cromford Canal, ideal for walking or cycling. Unique property with fantastic views, very quiet location. Property was very clean and hosts friendly
