White Court Llandudno

The only positives were that the location was great, the bed was big and fairly comfy - I was pleased to see that bedding was clean else I wouldn't have stayed. The rest sadly left a lot to be desired......... not sure who rated this place as 4* as it's certainly not

We were met at the check in desk by a staff member who must have been waiting in a back room and watching us arrive on door camera - she handed us our key, informing us our room was on 2nd floor. Breakfast was included and advertised as available 8am to 9.30am - she wanted to know what time we would be down for breakfast, and seemed unimpressed when we said 9ish - she told us it is busier then, so best come earlier. As someone who doesn't manage food that early in the morning, I wasn't thrilled. We were really disappointed with our room, which had been advertised as 'Superior King Room'. Curtains and blackouts were hanging off the curtain rails, two large single glazed windows that let in the sea breeze and the significant noise from the street below. Furniture was propped up by cardboard wedges. Bathroom had an old fashioned green suite. Bath had a repair to it which is obviously where the shower head had fallen in to it. Repair had been made with some kind of brown filler, so it looked just like a slug in the bath - when we closed the bathroom door the shower head fell off the wall and clattered into the bath, which must have been what had happened previously. Bath also didn't look clean - several hairs in it, and a tide mark/ring around it. The hardboard side panel had come away from the bath - swollen with water from the shower. Toilet seat was the cheapest plastic, and ill fitting. Headboards were also ill-fitting - they were below the level of the mattress, and did not look particularly clean. Everything was miss-matched and 'cheap;. Several signs around the place 'forbidding' guests to bring their own food or drink into their room - ridiculous and unwelcoming. If there was an open bar there, fair point maybe?

Great location close to the centre of town and the sea. Lovely traditional building and rooms. Friendly and helpful owners. Great breakfast.

Location was great. Situated opposite lake it was ideal for walking along promenade, shops nearby and not too far away from the train station.

Great room - view of the lake until a large van parked up in the car park for a couple of days!

Breakfast was really nice and staff were very friendly, comfortable bed but the room wasn’t very clean, the bath was dirty with hairs inside and all grime around the taps , no rubber joint on the bottom of the shower screen so wasn’t able too have a proper wash
