Scholar State College, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Great location

Stayed 5/25-/5/27/2025. Would give 2.5 rating if possible due to adequate response from manager. -We tried the online check-in feature, which couldn't find our reservation. Call to Hilton 800 number took way too long, and they had to call the hotel directly. I should have done that in the first place. After much back and forth, they finally confirmed our rez. We were sweating for a moment. -Our first room on second floor fronted on busy Beaver Ave. with patio just below and near front entrance. Very noisy with revelers until about 1-2 AM. -Easily heard footsteps from room above us. Paper thin floor/ceiling. -Shower door kept sliding open during use -Water is ridiculously soft. Couldn't get soap off. -Long black hair noted on supposedly clean towel. -Bathroom sliding door absurdly heavy -Broken coffee maker -Transferred to another room. Housekeeping hadn't gotten to it yet from prior guests. Room was 'heavily used' and smelled, to say the least. Front desk thought it was ready. -Transferred yet again to another floor. Same problem with poor sound abatement, footsteps from above. -After settling in after a Memorial Day party we noticed that the bedroom TV was nonfunctional. Other TV in living area had spotty connection in the morning. Unwatchable. Maybe due to satellite service. Who knows. - Climate control in rooms was difficult to operate, and certain features were locked out. -Garage key card did not work on the day of departure. Had to use credit card. -Front desk told me to grab whatever free snacks we wanted, and we were promised 'points' for all the inconveniences. - Staff was apologetic and tried to help. I spoke with a manager the following day who was very apologetic and reimbursed us for parking, room charge and tax for one of the nights.

The hotel has no power when I got there they sent me to the super 8 motel and made me pay the same rate for their hotel.when I was looking at hotels super 8 came up as 77 a night so I basically paid double to get sent from a hotel to a motel. I paid what I paid because I wanted somewhere very nice not a motel. But the staff were excellent and very helpful at the tapestry hotel they didn't even offer to give me any of my money back for going to a cheaper motel.

Loved how spacious the room was, and having the kitchen was great! The room and common areas of the hotel were very clean. We also loved the location.

We didn’t love having to park in a parking garage but it wouldn’t stop us from going back.

Good location

There’s was a large power outage that no one told us before we arrived, the power to the hotel, no hot water, no nothing. There was no air flow and we were unable to open the windows for air- they have slots to open. The add says there were 2 queen beds, they are not queens, maybe a “hotel queen” but it’s basically a full I thought I read breakfast but not this morning since there’s not power.
