Clear Sky Resorts - Grand Canyon - Unique Sky Domes

The glamping dome experience is a once in lifetime. The kids loves the activities and the stargazer. The room are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Aubrey and Malik. We will diffinitely stay there again!

I am writing this review to recognize Aubrey for giving outstanding customer service. From the moment our interaction began, Aubrey was professional, attentive, and is very helpful.

I booked this resort on a bucket list trip and was extremely disappointed. When you book online, it appears as though all of the domes are secluded with scenic view, which is not the case. Our dome was in a cluster of other domes that overlooked a fence and electrical boxes. The clear material that made up the windows were so streaked and filthy, it was impossible to see through. it was apparent that the floors had not been cleaned because there were leftover almonds from a previous guest on the floor, and I spilled water and cleaned it with a white rag that turned brown after wiping the spill. We were excited about the convenience of having a restaurant on site that served breakfast that we could just grab and go on our long drive to our next destination, but realized that none of the items were available. We were not informed of this on check in or at any other point and discovered it when we were ready to order. The staff were friendly, but the person who checked us in had a runny, snotty nose and dirty hands, and he handled all of our luggage and shook hands with my husband. My family and I were all sick within days on this trip that we had been planning and anticipating for years. The most disappointing part was the astronomical price of $600 per night for such a letdown. When I mentioned all of these things at checkout, the employee working at the desk was only concerned about the mess but didn’t offer to make up for it in any way. I would definitely not recommend this resort to anyone.

We had an amazing experience! The location was perfect, allowed us to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The laidback vibe was exactly what I was looking for on this getaway! The staff was super accommodating and friendly. One staff member stood out, Aubrey was a rockstar 🙌🏾 from helping us initially getting settled into our dome to making our paint and sip one of the many highlights of our stay. We will be back!

My family and I just got back from Clear Sky Resorts, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about how much we enjoyed it. I’ll be completely honest about the domes because I know that’s what most people are curious about. If you’re expecting a super luxurious glamping experience, they may not be exactly what you’re picturing. They could probably use some updates. That being said, ours was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and we loved having the huge front window, the skylight over the bed, and the deck with chairs and a hammock outside. This was my first glamping experience, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I absolutely loved it. What really made this place stand out wasn’t the dome though. It was the people. Every single employee we met was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help. You could tell they cared about making sure guests had a good experience. My husband surprised me with a candlelight dinner for our 4th wedding anniversary while we were there, and it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the trip. James helped coordinate everything and absolutely knocked it out of the park. He helped arrange a custom menu and reserved one of the dining domes near the restaurant for us. Sitting there under the stars having dinner together was something I’ll never forget. Chef Andrew prepared our meal, and it was amazing. The steak was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. You can tell he takes pride in what he does because every part of the meal was fantastic. Malik was our waiter that evening, and he was wonderful. He made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to take pictures for us so we’d have something to remember the night by. Those little things mean a lot. Another highlight was the horseback ride. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and our guide Violet was amazing. She made everyone feel comfortable and safe, and she took us to watch the sunset from a beautiful overlook. It was one of those moments that makes you stop and appreciate where you are. The stargazing here is unreal. We live somewhere with plenty of lights around us, so seeing that many stars was incredible. They even have telescopes available, which made it even better. If you’re traveling with kids, there are plenty of things for them to do too. The playground, fire pits with s’mores kits, and giant jumping pillow were all great additions. At the end of the day, what I’ll remember most about Clear Sky isn’t the dome itself. It’s the people, the horseback ride at sunset, our anniversary dinner under the stars, and the memories we made as a family. Those are the things that made this trip special, and they’re the reason I’d recommend staying here.

The place looks like a trailer park. Do not be fooled about it calling itself a resort. You have to walk a couple of blocks to get to your room with your luggage because you can’t park your car anywhere near your dome. There are no paved roads so be prepared to roll your luggage over gravel and to get your luggage wheels ruined. When you walk into the dome you will be greeted by the smell of a hot vinyl raincoat. The is the air you will be sleeping in. Micro plastics anyone? Our dome was filthy. We had an ant infestation and was husband woke up in the middle of the night with an ant crawling on him. There are dead bugs all over the inside of the dome, especially around the filthy dirty plastic window you are supposed to watch the stars out of. There is only a bottom sheet on the bed over a sweat stained mattress. There is no top sheet, just a comforter. The bottom sheet does not cover the entire mattress, so when sitting in the ripped chairs in your dome you can stare at the sweat stains. They have no ice buckets for the room, so be prepared to buy ice. At $400 a night, they don’t even give you ice. One of the towels in our room was dirty before we ever used it. One of the vinyl walls of our dome had dark stains on it that looked like blood. Please see my photos. It was the single biggest rip off I’ve ever fallen for. You could not pay me to stay here again.
