I want to clarify about the staff. My experience with the staff was good except for the front office person named Joshua. He wasn’t helpful when it came to the issues I had with my room and charged me twice for a pet deposit. Also hinted that I might be to blame for the pool having issues and was closed because “someone” had their pets in the pool area. They can check camera footage it wasn’t me with my pet in the pool area. I don’t appreciate being blamed for something I didn’t do.

We had two rooms. One of our rooms and ants. They were everywhere, even in our shower area trying to get to shampoo/conditioner. When I checked out I told front office that they might want to fumigated that room. The person I was speaking with went and got Joshua, whom I believe was a manager. Instead of him trying to help the situation he made it worse. I mentioned the ants at the end of my check out, I could have walked out and went in my way. I asked for a receipt and that’s where it went south. Joshua then proceeded to have a receipt printed but wanted me to sign only for the room I mentioned had ants. I pre paid for the room. Then he told me I needed to pay for the pet deposit for only one of my rooms as it wasn’t collected for in the beginning. I was told at check in the pet deposit was coming out of my room deposit of $100 which I said was fine. I’m still waiting to see if I get and deposit back on my card. He also mentioned about the pool being closed at first saying it was due to maintenance but then said it was because someone had their pet in there. This comment was infuriating as I took it to mean that I had my pet in the pool area. I didn’t have my dog in the pool area and they can check the camera footage. I have asked that the hotel have someone contact me about my experience. As of me writing this review no one has. I will never stay here again.

Staff was very helpful and nice and helped us with what we needed ie extra blankets Directions with san diego and very courteous

Near Old Town and Trolley Station. Free parking and free breakfast. Kitchenette in our room. Friendly staff.

Nothing really negative but a hot tub in pool area would be nice. The location was a little isolated but still close enough to everything we needed.
