Leavenworth Local Hotel

Location is perfect for visiting Leavenworth. I booked and paid for a last minute room via Expedia and got a good deal, however on arrival I realised I was in a room in the basement with no window so it made sense that it would be so cheap! The receptionist on arrival was really helpful and kind however I realised after I checked out that she also charged my card again rather than place a hold. When I realised I was in a different state and so I contacted the hotel immediately by email and Instagram and they have still not replied. I raised an issue via Expedia and they struggled to reach the hotel to begin with, but then received confirmation that I had been charged again in error and would be refunded immediately. It has been nearly 2 weeks since I checked out and I have still not received my refund. The smell of sewage was strong and I found hairs in the paper coffee cup and found the floor sticky. The bed is comfortable and the shower is great, there is free coffee available and vending machines on site. Overall for what I paid I shouldn’t have expected much more than I got, a relatively comfortable one night stay however due to the fact I have still not received my refund for the double charge I would not stay here again.

The room for the reunion was great! The activities offered in the gym looked great for kids. It was nostalgic for us. Staff was very friendly. Loved the $10 credit in the Red Hibiscus on Saturday!

The noise of the plumbing was continual. Without insulation, we don’t feel this room should be used for lodging. We also disliked the grubby stairs to the basement and the lack of windows. No breakfast or coffee on Sunday, although we got a text offering it.

Close, off-street parking. Comfy beds. Nice fridge & microwave. Everything worked & the A/C blew cold.

No sound insulation from the room above. We were awakened repeatedly during the night with walking, talking, music, TV and I don't know what. Maybe they were holding a square dance up there. No elevators, so not friendly to our disabled family member.

This is our second time to stay and both times the stay was wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. They also have friendly helpful staff

Did not know it was a renovated High School. Different. Nice but would have been nice to know. Also, they should have given us WiFi info before they left for the day. 😡
