"The Courtney Family Hyatt Experience"

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. My daughter got very cold in the night, and the front desk employee was amazing in dealing with her request. She got her a blanket and it was warm. We were able to check in early, by luck. As a large family (6), we were able to 'go and come' very easily. Breakfast had a nice spread of choices and was refreshing in getting the morning started. Our room was very open and nice, there are a lot of updated features.

When we arrived, I missed the part about not having free parking. This was very frustrating. When we checked in, we were told that the pool was closed and would hopefully be fixed that day. It was, but it was a 'negative' to the beginning of a vacation. Continuing discussion about the pool, there were uncontrolled children in the pool room. There were children running outside, through the hotel's exit door, reentering through the hotel's exit door, and performing different types of flips into the pool. It was EXTREMELY dangerous. I wouldn't allow my children in the pool until it calmed down. After 30 minutes, someone came to 'scold' the children. Their parents were there, and it is their fault for not controlling their children. HOWEVER, the hotel staff should've made the entire group/family leave the pool room immediately. I do suggest more frequent security checks in the pool room and possibly splitting the pool for the smaller children. There were numerous babies, toddlers, and not as strong swimmers trying to swim. It was impossible for them to enjoy the indoor pool that they wanted as a part of their vacation stay. The room had ants all over the kitchen counter and went into sink. We kept cleaning them up. We kept any food on the center island.
