Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands

The pool was great and the hotel itself was quiet and in a great location - on a really good tram line. We had no issues checking in and the kids had a great time.

This sounds like a little thing but the bathroom isn't sealed off from the rest of the room - if you have kids I wouldn't recommend it as they can open a window from the bathroom to the bedroom and climb through. Absolutely no privacy. The breakfast was solid but you do have to pay additional for a barista coffee which I've never experienced before.

Unfortunately, there was very little to like about the stay

My wife cut her foot on broken glass at the side of the pool area, which is a serious safety hazard. To make matters worse, I found a used sanitary pad underneath the bed while looking for my phone, which was absolutely disgusting and shows a complete lack of hygiene.

Really good location close to tram and everything in the docklands. The pool is amazing. Staff were lovely. Buffet breakfast was great, one of the best spreads I’ve seen. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. Lovely big shower and open bathroom.

Not big issues but worth noting the hotel bar fridge is tiny. We’d brought cereal, milk, bread for the kids breakfast. Couldn’t fit the milk. And no toaster or microwave in the room which made it a bit challenging to heat the milk for the toddlers bottle but we made do. Also I think our air con wasn’t working in our room, I’m sure it would’ve been sorted but we forgot to mention.
