Penn House Hotel

Relatively basic but comfortable and clean, stunning view from outside our window (if you wanted to just get away from the rat race, you could literally lay on the bed with the window ajar and listen to the seaside, or sit in their supplied comfy chair and read a book, I was more at peace here than laid on a cruise ship on deck through the med). I was here with my partner for the annual Ironman 70.3 and the distance from registration and transition was good, definitely not too far. Parking spaces outside but officially you’re restricted to 1 hour (still a good feature if you’ve got luggage etc or you’ve drove a long way like us and you need a bit of chill out/freshen up time before moving the car). Decent shower, toilet and sink, decent amount of storage for us. Decent breakfast and selection of breakfast items (early service put on for the Ironman 70.3 participants👍🏻👍🏻) Our hosts were 10/10 at being hospitable, really accommodating, genuine, friendly and interested in us, knowledgeable about the area (things to do, places to see and eat at etc). Put it this way, I want to come back to Weymouth (either to do the Ironman event or just for a holiday, it’s a great place to stay or visit) and this hotel WILL be my first port of call, we enjoyed our stay that much.

I’m not gonna say it’s something we didn’t like as such (we’re not that fussy) but although we had a sink in our room, our toilet and shower were a short walk outside our room, I am gonna also say I believe other rooms have en-suite facilities.

Hosts Cez and Rodney were amazing. We were staying for the Weymouth Ironman event and nothing was too much trouble including getting up early to serve 5am porridge. Highly recommended personal experience.

I loved that it was away from the town centre by only a couple of minutes but still maintained the quietness in the evening. The hosts Kezia and Rodney were amazing and so attentive. Definitely the place to stay if you are visiting Weymouth. Will be going back again!!

Myself and my family had a lovely stay at Penn house. We were made to feel very welcome from start to finish. Kez and Rodney are absolutely lovely. They made us feel very comfortable during our stay with them. Rodney cooked a lovely breakfast, and Kez was very attentive serving us. It was also nice to have bottles of water in our room and the tea tray filled up when needed. All the little things that make for a nicer stay. If you're into your sea fishing and not sure of the best place to go in the area, speak to Rodney, and he will point you in the right direction. We are looking forward to our next stay at Penn house when we visit Weymouth again.
