Hoian Royal Villa

Great value, very close to old town Hoi An. Room and bed were quite comfortable. Affordable laundry service and free bike lending also offered at the hotel.

Shower was not mixing hot and cold water very well, but the weather was hot, so it was no problem. Maybe a problem in colder weather.

Owners are amazing. He always help with a bright smile on his face. Room is great and clean. Location is also nice since it's quite closed to the old city as well as local morning market. It's also recommended to book a tour or airport pickup with the hotel directly. Price isn't much different than booking it on your own but much more convenient. And you won't be scammed from the taxi at the airport like us too :( The only issue I have with this hotel is hot shower. It's quite weak. But overall totally recommend this hotel to anyone who are looking for an affordable hotel to stay in Hoian.

The family and staff were really friendly and helpful. I didn’t get his name but the man on the reception was always smiling and making sure we were enjoying our stay. Can do laundry, rent a motorbike and use a free bicycle. Good location, 5 minute walk from the Japanese bridge.

I think we were very unlucky with our stay, given the good reviews we’ve read. We thought we were treating ourselves, spending more money than usual, for my birthday so we’re disappointed by the size and cleanliness when we arrived. The duvet had coffee stains and the floor was covered in sand. Our room had a very strange drainage smell, masked with very strong essential oils. The room had damp patches on the ceiling and in the evening it started raining in through a light fitting!! We messaged the host and she said there was nothing they could do and the hotel was fully booked. She changed the bed when it stopped. In the middle of the night, we woke up to rain falling on our faces! It was horrible! We had to huddle at the end of the bed. The next day she moved us to a different room but it was even smaller and smellier and not the same as the one we had paid for. One night we had to climb over the fence, it was only midnight, but we had no key for the gate and no one was answering. We borrowed a free bicycle one day and they were in disrepair so badly that the chain fell off whilst slowly cycling along a flat road. My boyfriend, an experienced cyclist, really hurt himself.

Great room, staff very friendly and helpful. Good location, only 10 minutes walk to tourist areas. Numerous places to eat in the vicinity. Highly recommended!

Great location as you can walk to ancient town. Great value for the price. But you do get what you paid for. The room can hear machine constantly running, which makes it hard to sleep. Don't recommend for families with young children or people who are light sleepers
