Blackwoods Hotel Pattaya - SHA Extra Plus

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my stay at Blackwoods Hotel Pattaya was a very disappointing experience. At check-in, I specifically requested a quiet room because I am a light sleeper. I was pleasantly surprised to be told that I had been upgraded to a suite. However, the "upgrade" turned out to be a corner suite directly facing the bars and nightclubs below. The music and noise continued until the early hours of the morning, making it almost impossible to sleep. Around midnight, I went to the front desk to ask if I could move to another room. I was told the hotel was fully occupied and no rooms were available. I then requested to change rooms the following day, and before leaving the hotel the next morning, I repeated my request. A senior lady at the front desk agreed that the room would be changed. When I returned around 2:00 p.m., the same lady informed me that no room was available because all rooms had already been occupied. What disappointed me most was not simply the refusal, but her attitude. She was dismissive, unfriendly, and showed no empathy whatsoever. As a guest who had spent a sleepless night and had made the request well in advance, I expected at least a courteous explanation. To make matters worse, when I returned to the hotel later that evening after dinner, I saw a group of guests checking in. This naturally left me wondering whether my request had ever been genuinely considered. I understand Pattaya is a vibrant nightlife destination, and I don't blame the hotel for the noise outside. However, if a guest specifically requests a quiet room, assigning what appears to be one of the noisiest suites in the hotel is difficult to understand. An upgrade should enhance a guest's stay, not make it worse. I also want to be fair. The rest of the hotel staff were pleasant and professional, especially the breakfast team, who were consistently warm, friendly, and attentive.

Vreselijk hotel. 5 sterren. Nog geen 3. Personeel kinderen. Vreselijk. Ontbijt. Elke dag koud er waren maar 2 soorten brood. Oud brood wat je moest roosteren en croissantjes die met een mes niet door te snijden zijn :ps. De stoelen bij het ontbijt allemaal roestig. Vreselijk. Nu de kamer ; een wasbak midden in de kamer normaal in de badkamer helaas. Bij de spiegel geen stopcontact mijn vrouw en ik konden ons niet eens föhnen verder maakte de airco een hoop lawaai. Op de gangen was geen airco bloedheet. Gewoon een drama. Ik vraag me af of jullie wel controleren. Ik stuur foto’s bij. Het zou fijn zijn als mijn verblijf gecompliceerd werd maar ik heb weinig hoop

Alles was slecht. We hadden eeen kingsize bed nee 2 beden tegen elkaar. Vreselijk verblijf gehad. De 5 sterren hebben ze uit de lucht geplukt. En niemand controleert dat

The staff were amazing!

It was on one of the party streets so you see a lot of bars and people partying - however, if this is what you’re looking for then this is it. The balcony was very very small. We had a room that smelled bad but then we changed to another room which was much better.

The location was excellent. Staff were friendly and responsive. Modern hotel

The room layout is a bit unusual and takes a little getting used to.
