Jasper House Bungalows

Check-in process was smooth, but after checking in, we went to our bungalow/cabin....the pictures oversell the actual room a bit. Much darker and older furnishings and features than expected but overall the room was rather clean, so not a dealbreaker. The dealbreaker for us was that the room had a very musty odor, almost like it had been smoked in even though it was a non-smoking room. When we first entered all the windows were open, likely to air it out as much as possible between guests. During check-in we were also advised that the bed in the pullout couch was more intended for a child and not an adult. Wish that had been communicated earlier. In the end, after 20 mins inside, all of us were rather nauseous and in the end we were unable to stay in the unit. The staff were very apologetic and sorry to hear the state of the room did not meet our expectations, and in the end, Jasper House Bungalows and Expedia gave a full refund and were very helpful during the process which was really appreciated.

Wonderful place, cabins and suites are lovely little apartments with kitchenettes, amazing scenery, super helpful staff, lovely grounds, guests from all over world, and the restaurant had great food, I mean great. Don’t miss taco night, fave if locals, Mexican chef makes authentic regional tacos, not the fast food kind, with homemade tortillas, guacamole, salsa. Seared elk tacos the best.

Fabulous location and amazing staff. Valerie and Patrick on reception were exceptionally helpful trying to book Mum and I on the disabled Athabasca Glacier trip. Food was great, and Veet, our server was fantastic. Our only negative was the noisy neighbours, who were up around 04:30 both mornings we were there. The soundproofing between the accommodations was not good and we could hear everything that was going on next door! If I’m ever lucky enough to come to Canada again I’d definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Cabin was clean and cozi. The views from the cabin were breathtaking, surrounded by mountains. The staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.

I have been staying at the Jasper House Bungalows on holidays annually for close to 20 years. The location is excellent and the property is well maintained and located right by the river. Covid is an issue right now as there is no daily cleaning of the rooms.
