Only one towel and even after repeatedly asking for towel - we barely got two more for a family of 4.

Room amenities. Plates, fridge, etc. The staff were nice. Good lobby to hangout. Clean halls and elevators. Sufficient car parking. Good temp control in rooms.

Untimely. It took over 24 hours for us to get towels and an unclogged drain. Over 6 phone calls and many many texts. Also the eggs and French toast sticks literally absorbing the smells of the sausage and bacon. Vegetarians eat eggs and are unable to due to the meat smoke infusing into the eggs and French toast sticks. Unfortunate. Coffee was repeatedly weak (watered down?).

Every now and then I’d get a whiff of a sewage smell inside my room . Doesn’t seem like anything to do with the cleanliness of the hotel though

The place was clean and front desk staff were great.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired.

I travel extensively for work — roughly 150 nights a year in hotels around the world — and this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a Hilton-branded property. I arrived at Home2 Suites in Plano expecting the level of quality and professionalism typically associated with Hilton Honors, but what I encountered was the complete opposite. The problems started immediately upon arrival. Multiple people were gathered at the front entrance smoking, and I literally had to step around a dog urinating on the sidewalk directly outside the main entrance. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was met with a strong lingering smell of cigarette smoke. Despite arriving after normal check-in time, I was informed that my room still was not ready. The front desk staff appeared disorganized and overwhelmed, which only added to the concern. While waiting, I observed several individuals lingering both inside and outside the property in a way that made my family and me uncomfortable. As someone who spends a significant amount of time traveling, you develop a sense for environments that simply do not feel safe, secure, or professionally managed. This hotel gave off that impression immediately. The property itself also appeared poorly maintained. Furnishings and décor throughout the hotel looked worn, dirty, or broken, contributing further to the sense of neglect and disrepair. To make matters worse, there was a large, loud group partying behind the hotel, creating an atmosphere that felt chaotic rather than welcoming. After taking all of this into consideration, we made the decision not to stay and found accommodations elsewhere. Unfortunately, despite never using the room, the hotel refused to provide any refund or accommodation. That is a first for me, especially after raising legitimate concerns about safety, cleanliness, and overall condition. I will be contacting Hilton corporate directly regarding this experience. If cleanliness, professionalism, safety, and basic hotel standards matter to you, I strongly recommend choosing another property.
