Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Antigonish

Nice and modern, great amenities! And the staff was exceptional, we were in town for a medical procedure and they helped us with late checkout, which helped immensely with our stress.

Location. Looked fairly new. Pool was good for kids. Breakfast included.

Air con units in bedroom were very noisy disturbing sleep. Too warm if off, too noisy when on.

This inn, although advertised as a Wyndham property, is actually privately owned and operated and definitely does not uphold the standards of the Wyndham chain. Outside…the owners allow large trucks to park directly under hotel room windows, and the drivers run their engines starting at 5AM, often idling for up to 30 minutes before pulling out. Inside…day one, our room was serviced, but the garbage and recycling were not emptied. Days two, three and four our room was not refreshed at all, even after repeatedly visiting the front desk each evening to personally advise of the lack of service and to request fresh towels. Very disappointing and totally unacceptable.
