Staybridge Suites Portland by IHG

This is the best hote by far. We rented the room with two queen beds and kitchenette. Our view was great. Walmart is across the street, small shopping centers all around this hotel. And a mini ER as well. We stayed here to venture to Port Aransas for a daily trip for four days. Commute was not bad at all. Like 20 minutes to the beach. This room was HUGE ! Super clean and staff were excellent. They have daily free hot breakfast and a clean pool with free laundry services and workout rooms. We will definitely be coming back again for another beach retreat ! You won’t be disappointed!

Our room was overlooking the barbecue pit and the gazebo with lawn set and during the evening up to past midnight they were occupied by people drinking and having a party and were very noisy laughing and playing loud music. I called the front desk about it and the music was turned down a little bit but still they were very noisy and we can not sleep. Not a good idea to put a BBQ pit and gazebo next to peoples windows.

Ease of location, parking and surrounding amenities.

We are Hampton Inn fans and wanted to try this because it has kitchen in every room. Incredible hotel, meets or beats Hampton Inn. Comfortable bed, quiet AC, free water bottles all over the place. Great up keeping by hotel staff. Right across walmart and many brand name restaurants were within walkable distance. Few gripes - the bathroom caulk was giving away and the management has not done anything about it, disgusting. The breakfast area was not able to keep up, not because of the person working there, poor decisions by management for not supplying enough waffle machines and the milk bottle was literally 1/2 gallon jug with 10 people waiting in line for milk. It kept running out. The lady was working hard to keep it filled, she had to unscrew two tight lids to fill milk. It was the jug size the management has not thought through. Or may be it is a tactic to reduce breakfast consumption. I am perplexed how dumb management folks are.

Everything was great at this hotel

New hotel. Check in was quick. Front desk was really friendly and helpful. It was a bonus for free detergent and free use of the laundry service. Hotels.con said that check out time is noon but it is actually 11 so I was rush a bit but it is not the hotel’s fault. Spacious room. We had a good rest

Great location.

This hotel is amazing!! Very comfortable, the only complaint I have is that we did find empty juice bottles from the previous stay, but other than that we really did enjoy this hotel! We will definitely book again.
