Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Gilbert - Mesa Gateway Airport

Very kind staff, heated pool, decent sized room, good simple breakfast

They allow smoking right next to the entrance in between the main lobby and pool so you’re constantly subjected to the smell of smoke when you are the pool area. The walls were really thin and we had loud upstairs neighbors from 430-630 am. We called front desk twice but nothing really changed. Luckily they checked out! Chips an crumbs left in the pull out sofa but otherwise very clean.

Met expectations of a newer Holiday Inn express. Very clean. Allows dogs. The flowering trees and landscaping was a nice touch

It was modern, clean, within 2 miles of the Mesa airport which was my reason for booking it (ease of next day flight) and had a good free breakfast. There are also some restaurants within walking distance. There is a 24 hour fitness center and a small outdoor pool.

We were not given the option of 2 beds. My son and I shared a king bed which was ok but we would have preferred 2 beds. Turning left out of the parking lot toward the airport without a light is a little challenging.

Great location, clean, comfortable, had all the amenities that we wanted.

I specifically booked 2 queen beds and found out upon check in that our room was no longer available. We were given a king with sofa bed, which isn’t the end of the world, but there was no communication prior.

It was close to the airport. Gilbert has a lot to offer and it was close to all of it. The breakfast was also better than most hotels I have stayed at.

The comforter on the bed and the room were just adequate.
