The Broadway Beach House with Hot tub

A good looking detached property with many interesting features/lighting. Well equiped with 2 massive and one smaller TV. Hot tub clean and ready to use. Plenty of soap, shower gel, tea bags, milk, dishwasher and washing machine tablets provided. Near the beach and town centre.

Cobwebs! Defrost the freezer! There of signs that some areas of the property would benefit from TLC. Surprisingly poor WiFi. Upstairs TV did not work and no terrestrial channels available. Built in speakers could not be accessed. Sheets in second bedroom poor fit.

This is the message I sent the owner on the day we arrived : On arrival, the front of the property could of been cleaned & made more inviting, lots of cobwebs & weeds The outside rubbish bin is full, where do we put our rubbish ? The back area, we can't sit on the seating area as cushions are soaked & green ?? The area is untidy, needs painting & dewebbing The passageway on the outside of the property is full of old furniture, awful to look at The shower door falls off when you close it, so dangerous The socket under the tv in the kitchen looks unsafe to use There is a lot of broken furniture The sink in the ensuite, you turn the tap on & it misses the sink & goes on the floor Some of the switches do not work Marks on the walls The sliding doors in the property are nearly impossible to close or open I feel this property has been wrongly advertised by the photos that sold the break to us We paid a lot for five days & to the standards we have walked into, is no way the same This is the response I got : Hello Anna, im sorry you feel this way. What needed cleaning at the front of the property? Where was there cobwebs or weeds? One bin is full, the other is not. Bin collection day is tomorrow for one bin and wednesday for the other. I cant do much about rain unfortunately and guests leaving them outside, once a guests leave them out to get wet i cant have them brought inside or the house will smell of damp. Until the weather improves we do not take outdoor cussions to laundrette or its wasted effort and money. As for the same for painting the decking, its a high traffic area and as im sure you are aware it be painted between guests or during bad weather. It gets painted every may as with other maintenance in the property when we block the calendar out each year to get it ready for summer.

The location was great and beds really comfy. The kitchen was well equipped and it was very easy to control the heating.

All sliding doors in house were extremely stiff and no lock on bathroom, instead a hole was present where the lock should be. The hot tub had sand in it and was only half full. Parking is extremely tight for 2 cars. Shower head needs descaling as when turned in it goes in all directions. Towels were rock hard and scratchy so would advise bringing your own. No additional towels available for when using the hot tub. No instructions book for the house which meant the sound system installed wasn’t used.

Hot tub doesn’t work properly, jets don’t work properly. Stalls for kitchen bar uncomfortable, not suitable if you have any back or mobility issues. Very limited plug sockets in lounge kitchen area, the plug extension in the kitchen island didn’t work, charging phones were a challenge. Main bedroom very comfortable, en-suite room has no window so felt claustrophobic.

Me and my friends booked to stay in this amazing house. We were amazed by how clean it was and how close it was to the beach. I would highly recommend staying here. We felt really safe the hosts were amazing and made us feel so welcoming. We had everything we needed in there from cutlery down to shampoo and conditioner you literally just need to bring yourself you have everything you need here. There is so much to do in Herne bay too it’s a really cute town, everyone is just so friendly. When me and my friends got there we were just amazed and the property and the hot tub is so nice too it’s really nice and quiet when your sitting out in the hot tub in the decking. I would 100 percent recommend this place even if you’re solo travelling, with friends or just a partner it’s accommodating to all. Thank you for an amazing stay we will definitely be back!
