Guests come back to Sandhof year after year, and for good reason. This hotel has been run by proprietor Martin’s family since his grandparents started renting out rooms in the 1930s. Guests are treated warmly by Martin and his kind staff. We did the half board and were very happy that we did so. The food was delicious. More impressively to me as a wine lover, this small hotel has a massive wine selection. Martin lays down reds for years. We let him recommend a bottle every night, and the bottles varied between 2012 and 2003 … all for reasonable prices. Our family of 4 chose one of the apartments, and it we had enough room for us not to be on top of each other. Board games by the fire prior to dinner became our nightly routine. Last but not least, Sandhof is close to a Intersport for ski rental, the cable car up to Oberlech, and this little place locals seem to frequent for awesome pork belly sandwiches. Long story short, we’ve already booked our stay for next March and plan to be one of those families that returns year after year.

We have been here a few times. We love the hotel, where we got a nice room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. Some stylish renovations had been made around the entrance/reception. We had half board: The food was very good. Martin and his team are very nice and service minded. We have passed the age of skiing, but there are well kept cross country skiing tracks, and some separate well kept walking paths, which brings you out into the nature. You can take the bus out and ski or hike back. And last but now least, there is the cosy little town of Lech, where the hotel is situated in the main street close to the cabin up to Oberlech. We arrived by e-car from Denmark and parked in the big underground Anger garage which we booked and paid at the hotel. We charged the car opposite the hotel, but there has recently been established charges in the lowest level of the garage according the Martin.

Liked all. If it was a larger property I would expect a pool, but this is not that type of hotel.

Ein sehr gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage und grundsätzlich sehr bemühtes Personal. Leider fehlt noch mindestens ein Stern der angesichts des Preises zu erwarten wäre: - Sauna sperrt erst ab 16:00 auf - Sehr unflexibel hinsichtlich der Late Check out Optionen - Die Dusche ist zwar stylish, aber entweder nicht mehr die neueste. Jedenfalls riecht es ein wenig im Badezimmer, da hilft auch kein Raumduft.
